The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum Doesn’t Work But We Knew That Already Right?

The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum ($14.50) is a fairly new, affordable lightweight lash and brow serum with four peptides to promote the look of thicker, fuller lashes and brows. This launched last August and I used up my entire tube before I writing this review. This launched with a lot of reviews (thanks so much for all the fake raving reviews that get promoted across Sephora, Ulta, etc…)! I mean, as soon as Sephora listed it the reviews starting pouring in about how incredible it was. Refinery in particular wrote this big long article but failed to include any before and after photos. Of course, you’re going to get a lot of hype around anything the Ordinary releases! But also, this was a very affordable lash and brow serum which is part of the buzz around it.
Both my lashes and my brows are reaching a point that they don’t grow as quickly as they used to. I’m pretty sure I’ve abused my brows with wax, plucking, and threading and they don’t really grow as quickly as they once did. And my lashes have become a lot more shorter thanks to me yanking them out with a lash curler now and again. I could definitely use some growth in both areas.
I personally purchased it and decided to wait it out and see what happened with my brows and lashes (it released late August 2022 and within days everyone had it reviewed and raved). But sadly, you won’t find before and after photos here because if I took them they’d look the same as the day I started using this.

As promised this is indeed a lightweight serum. It’s water-based which gives it a weightless feel and finish! It’s pair noticeable when applied! And it’s quite easy to apply as well thanks to the three prong eyeliner-like applicator that lets you walk it gently across your lash line or comb it through your brows.
Ingredients:
Aqua, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Oligopeptide-2, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3, Caffeine, Panthenol, Arginine, Glycine, Glycoproteins, Larix Europaea Wood Extract, Trifolium Pratense Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Dextran, Maltodextrin, Zinc Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Xanthan Gum, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Metabisulfite, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Benzoate, Benzoic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

I’ve never used a lash or a brow serum due to a variety of articles I’ve read about how you can have weird hair growth around the eye area, change of eye color, etc.. The ingreident that causes these issues is prostaglandin. The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum is a prostaglandin-free formula. Instead it uses a blend of peptides to stimulate growth such as Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, and Panthenol. Sadly, none of that really helps with growth. It may help a little to help to maintain fuller brows but if you have thinner brows or shorter lashes don’t expect this peptide cocktail to help them to become thicker or longer. It simply won’t do that or at least, in my personal experience it didn’t do so.
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum falls victim to being very overhyped during its initial release. I used to nearly a year and trust me you can safely save your $14.50 on this. It’s just not going to do what it claims it will. I’m happy the brand took the initiative to release an affordable growth serum option but unfortunately, that affordable price turns into an expensive one since it fails to do much.
I’d say it’s safe to skip this one. Have you tried The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum? Let me know if it worked for you or not.
