People Are Shocked Sephora Sells Vibrators and The Responses are Pretty Funny

As you may already know places like Walmart, Target, Ulta, Nordstrom and yes, Sephora now sell vibrators.

Ulta and Sephora selling vibrators isn’t a new thing (btw remember when Urban Decay was trying to sell us lube?). This dates back to a year now but Nordstrom and other retailers started selling them even further back. Target and Walmart typically have their vibrators on display in the feminine needs aisle. They aren’t locked up at my stores and anyone can readily snag one. Sephora, Ulta, and Nordy’s however (and yes, Anthropologie too) sell the online only or at least I haven’t run across any of them in store where I am (I live in New York).

Although, these retailers have had them around people haven’t realized it but Sephora decided WTF let’s post about it on social media. That’s where things got pretty funny.

It a post Sephora did today on Instagram promoting a new brand called Smile Makers Collection the comments got pretty wild and crazy. People were terribly confused and puzzled what it was that was being promoted in the new post. The amount of hysterical comments on this post has me rolling. If you have Instagram head over there and read over a few. Most people thought Sephora was pimping some new glamorous skincare device only to realize this wasn’t something you’d be using on your face. Others expressed outrage Sephora would sell something like a vibrator! How dare they! And still others were fully supportive of it and considered it a form of selfcare making it right on brand for Sephora.

I think what fascinates me the most is a lot of people hadn’t realized Sephora has been selling vibrators for nearly a year now. People were very surprised by this but Sephora is definitely making their fans know that they are here for all aspects of your life including intimate ones.
