NYX Duck Plump High Pigment Lipgloss Sounds Ridiculous But I’m Here for Plumping Formulas

I know Spring 2024 was going to be the season of the lip plumper when Maybelline dropped Lifter Plump Lip Plumping Gloss into our lap and looks like I’m right because NYX Duck Plump High Pigment Lipgloss just landed. NYX Duck Plump High Pigment Lipgloss sounds utterly ridiculous but it could prove an interesting plumping lipgloss. What is NYX Duck Plump High Pigment Lipgloss? A seventeen shade vegan friendly collection of glosses infused with spicy ginger that acts to add color and volume to lips. This plumping formula promises “intense color” and volume.
As a child of the Duwop Lip Venom era I’m willing and able to take on any formula. In Maybelline’s formula they are using “chili pepper” to plump and NYX is using “spicy ginger” I truly believe at this point you can come at me with ghost peppers and I’d be fine with it. Duwop just made me immune to the pain of a good plumping gloss formula. Although, I will say these formulas aren’t for sensitive users. Maybelline’s could prove pretty intense for those that have sensitive skin or are prone to chapped or dry lips. But if you’ve lived through to Duwop era you’ll be just fine I’m sure.
One thing I do hope that if NYX takes to social platforms to advertise the new NYX Duck Plump High Pigment Lipgloss that they use influencers without lip fillers. I thought the Maybelline’s formula was fantastic and I actually legit got turned off by it because all the advertising they were doing on social media was with influencers with a ton of filler. They have this solid formula that they were advertising on already full, plump lips. Come on guys! It’s already good! You don’t have to convince us!
NYX Duck Plump High Pigment Lipgloss is available now the brand’s website and should be launching soon at retailers like Ulta.
Will you try it?
