Pillow Talk In a Cream Formula? Sign Me Up!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow launched in Colour of Dreams and Colour of Passion on charlottetilbury.com and you know damn well I jumped on that! First off, somewhere down the line I’ve become addicted to CT Beauty and secondly, since I can’t really wear full regalia makeup lately I love the idea of a quick dab of cheek something or another and go. Because let’s face it my mask pretty much covers up most of my face anyway!

Pillow Talk has really made the rounds these past few months hasn’t it? One single lipstick shade gave birth to an assortment of products of the same color! Eyeshadow Palettes, Blush, Eyeliner, you name it and there’s a product that’s available in the popular, cult-favorite Pillow Talk shade. Isn’t any wonder? It’s a gorgeous nude pink that give lips that MLBB (my lips but better) finish and look.

Now you can get your Pillow Talk fix in a cream blush! The new Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow is a radiant, fresh rosebud pink that’s available in a lighter and deeper hude which can be used on lips and cheeks. The easy to blend formula promises a chiffon-sheer formula and texture that give cheeks and lips a pretty dewy flush.

The formula contains a mix if Viamin E,, Beewax, and a glossy ester that gives a dewy, plumped up finish. It’s also infused with a silky mica that gives it a smooth texture.

As with all of Charlotte’s products it comes housed in a slick, rose gold case.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow are $40 per shade and available now.

Will you be grabbing a shade?

Briogeo Top Picks And What Works Great for My Long, Wavy Hair

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

A lot of people are sort of amazed that Briogeo is founded and owned by a black woman. I think people assume it’s a brand under some larger parent company like L’Oreal but in reality it was founded and is owned by Nancy Twine. She’s one of the youngest African American women to launch a hair care line at Sephora being in her twenties at the time of launch. Nancy is one of those triple threats that we should recognize and admire for the fact that she is not only African American but also, because she’s young and a woman. Imagine being merely 33 years old and already having a highly successful business under your belt? That’s success right there!

Briogeo is actually one of those Instagram made me do it brands. I saw so many ads for it and people promoting it across Instagram that I suddenly had to find out what all the hyped was about. After trying it out for myself I was hooked.

Here’s some of my top picks for my long, wavy hair!

A Tale of How Flora & Curl Flower Garden Hair Butter Concentrate Helped Me Go From Rey Skywalker’s Triple Bun to a Perfect Crown Braid

5 stars out of 5

I recently added Flora & Curl Flower Garden Hair Butter Concentrate to my hair care arsenal and it’s become my Summer staple for creating glorious pigtails, crown braids, and perfectly hydrated and fuller waves. I’m in love!

But be warned, when they say concentrate they really do mean concentrate!

I don’t really do hair styles. When I’m at work my hair is slicked backed with a headband and tucked into a bun. If I’m out and about I’ll leave it down and wavy or in a half ponytail. There’s not a lot of effort that goes into creating hair styles over here. I don’t really like it completely straightened but I also, don’t really love all my wild waves either!

I do wear ponytails a lot around the house because it’s easy to just split my hair up and do two pony tails at the back of my head. It’s cute, it’s fast, and it keeps my hair out of my eyes. I do have a new obsession which is a crown braid. Don’t panic, I didn’t attempt it myself. I know you worry about me and get scared I’ll hurt myself doing some new hair style. Ha…! In all seriousness, the crown braid passion started on a whim back in February when my bestie did it on my head when he slept over one night. We were watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens, perving on Adam Driver because really we both want to climb him like a tree, and trying to do Rey’s triple bun on me but it somehow ended up a crown braid. And it turned out so awesome. At the time my BF was sitting on the couch working while we sat on the floor attempting this Star Wars hair style and he obviously picked something up because when I attempted to re-create the look I couldn’t do it. It came out sloppy and all kinds of messed up. But my BF was able to re-create it. Who knew he has a touch of Jonathan Antin running through his veins? In all seriousness, he taught me how to re-create it quite easily and now it’s sort of my Summer hair style of choice. One thing that really helped when he re-created the braid is he used Uno Fiber Neo (I don’t even know where he gets it because I think Shiseido discontinued it didn’t they!?) It sort of smoothed my hair and made it easier to create a tight braid to wrap around my head. I don’t really love Uno Fiber Neo for my hair even though I want to be Orlando Bloom when I grow up (remember those Japanese commercials? I bet you do! I mean, who doesn’t? They were a mini Bond movies starring Orlando!). Fiber Neo always works great in his hair but when he used it on me it created really hard helmet hair after I released my braid. So, yeah, not a good look. But I do think my first attempt came out messy because I didn’t really have something good to smooth my hair with and his came out so good because he used a pomade to smooth my hair and create a tighter braid to go around the crown my head.
