I Never Knew Who Chris Lang Was Until TikTok….

So, when you’re hibernating in your house all day you find things to do. I’ve re-organized my pantry about three times now (I had cans of soup from 2015 in there! I considered not throwing them out because they might hold the key to the cure for corona!). I’ve painted three of my bathrooms. I’ve waxed all the wood floors on four occasions. I’ve tossed out all my old spices (why do I have spices when I don’t even know how to boil water?). I’ve watched too much TV. I’ve played way too many video games. I’ve read. And sadly, I have spent way too much time on Tiktok. Like most people my age during quarantine I’ve discovered the absolute waste of time that is Tiktok. I can’t begin to describe how funny, sad, and ridiculous it is.

One of the weirdest phenomenons of Tiktok is it seems to double up as a dating app. You got your millennials showing their abs off, silver foxes trying to snag a sugar baby, and of course, there are the Chris Langs of the world.

Who’s Chris Lang?

Another Norvina Palette? Yup, Norvina Vol. 4 Is Coming!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Vol. 4 is on the way and my feelings for this are summed up very nicely with the meme I just posted on Twitter. You see, a long time ago in a not so distant galaxy there was a time when Anastasia Beverly Hills released two maybe three palettes a year. Fast forward to the present time and ABS launches eyeshadow palettes every single day. Like, every single day. It’s like they are trying to make up for loss time.

Listen, I happen to really like Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palettes and I felt like what made them special was the limited releases. When ABS released a palette it was something to actually get excited about. Now? Well, not so much.

First off, I’d like to express my grumpy feelings over the fact that they did say they wouldn’t be launching another palette until the Fall. They even realized they had to slow their roll. But that went out the window because Norvina Vol. 4 is on the way May 11at at Sephora. It’s a softer pink palette compared to the bright, bolder Norvina Palettes of the past.

I’ll throw it out there and dare to say I don’t like the Norvina Palettes. I have never purchased a single one of them because I feel like the colors are too bold and overwhelming. That’s my opinion. I realize some people adore them and really dig the shades. I’m just not enough of an artist or a great blender to use a palette like these.

Apparently, Norvina Vol. 4 is the last palette of 2020 but there’s a key phrase here, “It’s the last palette from Norvina!” That’s leaves room for them to release other items OUTSIDE of Norvina’s launches. See what they did there? Yeah, me too.

Bath and Body Works Is Coming Out with a Boardwalk Taffy Scent Which Means They Are Obviously Listening to Us

One of my very favorite Instagrammers posted about the Bath & Body Works Summer 2020 Collection featuring the new Boardwalk Taffy fragrance and I’m pretty excited. Finally, Bath and Body Works may just be listening to us demanding more gourmands.

Let’s be honest for a moment here ok? Bath and Body Works releases a lot of repetitive fragrances that are fall into the fruity sweet world or the fruity floral one. I don’t mind these scents in the least however, after a while everything just smells the same. They have endless seasonal releases every few weeks and most times each new fragrance launch is exactly like the last. Hell, even candles seem to smell exactly the same with a new name. It’s annoying.

For years now I’ve bitched myself hoarse about the lack of gourmand scents from Bath and Body Works and finally they are listening. They launched some amazing scents for the Holidays this year and also, more recently they launched another round up great fragrance for Spring like Strawberry Pound Cake. It truly is a step in the right direction in my opinion!
