Sephora Closes Stores Until April 3rd To Fight Against COVID-19

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Sephora will close stores starting today at 5PM until April 3rd to flatten the curve against COVID-19. Sephora isn’t alone as most major retails have done the same including Nordstrom. Sephora is a little late to the show as most major retailers have made an announcement prior.

Sephora.com remains open for business as usual with a new return policy in place temporarily that allows you 60 days from the purchase to the return the product. As you know this was part of Sephora’s old policy but they revised it to 30 days sometime ago and are now re-extending the return time during the pandemic.

They have also provided the code FREESHIP to be used on their site to get free standard shipping on orders (some exclusions apply).

If anyone is effected at this time it surely is the beauty world as I think the last thing on anyone’s mind right now is going out to a store and swatching from testers that have been touched by hundreds of different fingers. I do hope at this time stores and counters take the time out to toss out testers and start fresh when stores re-open. I think it’ll be a really long time before I’m comfortable touching a tester in stores. How about you?

I do feel some comfort in stores closing as it might help to flatten the curve. However, out economy is going to take a major hit with all the closings.

I hope this post finds you well today! Remember, not everything is cancelled. If you’re home enjoy that time doing something you love! Books are not cancelled, binging a good show is not cancelled, re-organizing your closet or your spice rack (I totally did that on Sunday) is not cancelled, sitting down with your dog and snuggling is not cancelled. There are a lot of things that are still around to make you smile and take your head out of the doom and gloom space it might be in.

Be safe.

You got this.

What The World Needs Now Is Distraction

Good Morning friends!

I hope and I pray this post finds you and your family safe and healthy. There’s a lot of insanity happening in our world at the moment and I had to sit back for a moment this weekend and think hard how I wanted to address it in this post.

If you know me you might know that not a lot gets me down. I take on life with a lot of happiness and I don’t let things get to me. I find the goodness in every situation. I’m ever always an optimistic human. But life isn’t always perfect and we are in the midst of some of those imperfection at the moment. Right now my optimism is being put to the test. I’m not one for feeling anxious or paranoid but like many of you I’m scared. Scared for my loved ones, scared for friends and neighbors, scared for the way the world acting right now. We just have to keep calm and carry on but it’s ok to be scared too.

I’m at work today because I am self-employed and have to take care of my business. I’m armed with plenty of items to keep me and any clients that I see safe. I admit, it’s not the place I want to be right now. I want to be home in bed with the covers thrown over my head and a good book on my Kindle so I don’t have to think about what is happening outside my door. But I have a business to run and take care of and that’s what I am trying to do right now.

I’m going to try to get some blogging done this week. I’ve been really busy at work and it slammed me so hard I’ve had little time to actually post. In my 10 plus years of running Musings of a Muse that was never an issue but the last two months have been crazy for me.

I want to blog because it’s a good distraction for me and I hope for you too. I hope you’ll take time to comment on my posts to take your mind away from the news for a minute or two.

Just remember, this too shall pass and I’m urging everyone to follow Wheaton’s Law during this trying time in our world (that means not hoarding TP and sharing with others!) If you need a lift here and there I’m posting away on Instastories!

Be safe my friends and be the good, strong humans I know you can be.

You got this.

And so do I.

Peach Vibes from I Heart Revolution Mini Tasty Peach Palette and Tasty Peach Palette

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

All my love going out today to the I Heart Revolution Mini Tasty Peach Palette and and I Heart Revolution Tasty Peach Palette. Have I mentioned lately how much I love me peach eyeshadow anything. This is an obvious nod to the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette but on a much brighter level! Not to mention it actually looks way more peach than the Too Faced version every did!

I hope by now you all own that delightful I Heart Revolution Peach and Glow! It’s my bestest friend and I’ll be re-hauling it out for Spring looks soon! I sure do hope with the launch of the Tasty Peach Palette they’ll also do some new peachy blushes or highlighters because if they do I’m buying!

Hoping Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer is Like Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Concealer

Ah who remembers Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer? It was wonderful that’s why I have hopes that the new Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer turns out to be a similar formula! Although matte in finish Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mousse Concealer was as dreamy as the name. It was soft, blended easily, and it gave a soft focused blurred appearance. It was delightful and it was gone way too quickly. I think that Maybelline discontinued it because it was drying out in the packaging. I only suspect that was the issue but from what I’ve heard the packaging was a problem which makes me wonder if Too Faced’s formula will suffer the same issues.

None the less, I’m excited about each Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer! It launched today toofaced.com and sephora.com in 18 shade selections and won’t be available at Ulta as it’s part of Sephora’s exclusive Peaches and Cream Collection.

The formula is apparently created using a hot-pour technology that gives it a cushion-y texture. It’s a cream formula that’s matte in finish and contains Hyaluronic Acid. Too Faced says it’s super pigmented, waterproof, and has a comfortable matte finish. It doesn’t mention under eye concealing sadly! It’s all about hiding blemishes, redness, and dark spots. Boooo! I sure do hope it works under eyes though as that’s typically where I use concealer.

With the concealer there’s also a new Too Faced Mr Cover-Up Perfect Concealer Brush that has a soft pointed head for easy application.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer is $22 and available now.

Will you be indulging?

I know I will!
