5 stars out of 5

Makeup Revolution I Heart Revolution Peach and Glow Highlighter and Illuminator Duo ($7) is a new blush and highlighter palette that recently launched for Spring 2019 on Ulta’s website (it’s also available on Makeup Revolution’s website with a buy 2, get 1 free promo).

I hauled this for a few reasons. First off, the packaging of course was highly appealing! I admit I own several of I Heart Revolution’s Chocolate Palettes due to the cute design! The melted chocolate bar look definately has a Too Faced vibe and that’s gotten Makeup Revolution into trouble more than a few times. They tend to make copycat quite a few different brands but particularly Too Faced! None the less, I still find the melted chocolate bar compact very cute! I particularly love the peach and white chocolate contrast.

Secondly, this palette reminds me a lot of the Covergirl Peaches and Chocolate Collection that launched last year! I really love that collection and I’m definitely getting the same feels for this one!

And lastly, I’m all about peach blush anything! This totally fits the bill for my peachy blush cravings and the current ones I have for luminous, glowy blushes for Summer looks!

As you can see the palette arrives in a peach shaded palette that has a melted white chocolate design. The palette is made in China with a generously-sized mirror inside. It’s split into two wells with the blush housed in a bigger well and the ombre highlighter having a smaller one. Sadly, this does not have a peachy fragrances or scent!

I would guess this palette is Makeup Revolutions nod to the more expensive Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette but I find them vastly different in color, finish and formula. So, if you do own the Too Faced version you won’t be duping anything if you haul this little guy! If anything at all it’s most like the Covergirl Peach Punch Highlighter Palette!

I thin the blush is probably the most perfect and truest peach blush I’ve seen. It’s a really gorgeous, juicy peach shade with a soft, satiny texture that applies beautifully smooth on my drier cheeks. The ombre highlighter is just as gorgeous with a gradient white gold to light peach shading. The highlighter has a soft, satiny texture with a bit of a lighter velvety feel that the blush lacked. I did find the finish a tad bit frosty on the highlighter. I’d recommend starting with a lighter touch if possible and blend, blend, blend to get a soft luminosity versus a frosty look.

The blush and the highlighter both created a really nice glow on my cheeks and had excellent pigmentation with a solid wear that didn’t show signs of fading for several hours.

All in all, the I Heart Revolution Peach and Glow is a delightfully inexpensive way to get a peachy glow for Spring/Summer looks!

Where to buy

Revolution Beauty Ulta

I Heart Revolution Peach and Glow is a new dual-sided compact that houses a ombre highlighter and peach blush. The palette is made in China and will set you back $7 to $9 depending where you purchase it. I found the blush was pigmented and easy to apply with a soft, satiny texture that wore for several hours without fading. The highlighter had a soft, satiny texture as well with a touch of a velvety feel. It did apply a little frosty so I do recommend a lighter touch during application and plenty of blending to get the pretty luminous glow you might be seeking!

Pros

  • Very affordable.
  • Long-wearing.
  • Pigmented.
  • Luminous, pretty, peachy glow!

Cons

  • Might be an issue if you don’t use products that are Made in China.

Ombré HL! TDF. Perfection on you. Revolution maybe highly derivative, but they do pretty good derivations, not to mention concealers. Faves.

I’m gonna have to get this one… I’m glad it’s so inexpensive too.. There’s an Ulta opening soon less than 2 miles from my house… I think I may be in trouble, 🙂

I just added this to my Ulta wishlist. I hope it will look half as nice on me as it does on you! Love their stuff, especially the prices.
