Escada Flor del Sol Eau de Toilette is the brand’s traditional Spring/Summer 2020 limited edition perfume launch. When they started throwing around Mexico, lime, and tequila in the marketing for this fragrance I thought I was blind buying a tropical lime fragrance but what I got was a memory of some old, forgotten Escada fragrance with a very sweet, fruity, powerful juicy punch!

Escada fragrances are general a blind buy for me. I have no need to sniff or try them before purchasing them easily enough online. Why? Because I always love their scents. They always do really great fruity florals and never miss the mark in that arena. You just know what to expect from Escada and it’s rare they’ll surprise you (except perhaps with Cherry in the Air).

You Know It’s Spring When The Nude Lipsticks Start to Pop

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Kaja Air Heart Lightweight Natural Finish Lipstick ($17) currently has me intrigued because it looks like they went with some nice nudes for this release, not all nudes but def some nicer ones! I do enjoy hunting out a good nude for my lips even though I fail terribly on most days it’s always an exciting feeling finally finding one that works.

The new Air Heart Lightweight Natural Finish Lipstick has a cute heart shape like Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick and and Heart Crush Velvet Lipstick.

Kaja promises an airy, lightweight formula with a cushiony texture that feels super lightweight on lips. It contains Rose Extract to hydrate. In pictures it looks like almost matte but I suspect it’ll be a light balmy, creamy texture.

The formula sounds quite lovely so I might pick up a shade to try.

Have you tried Kaja Beauty? I’ve tried a few items from the brand and enjoy their products.

Kaja Air Heart Lightweight Natural Finish Lipstick is available now.

Bath and Body Works Daydream Eau de Parfum Arrives for Spring 2020

Bath and Body Works is keeping busy for Summer! Earlier this month they launched a new perfume called Saltwater Breeze and now yet another new fragrance arrives today! Bath and Body Works Daydream Eau de Parfum is a new sweet fruity scent with notes of fresh raspberries, sparkling pear and pink lily petals. I had expressed some doubts about Saltwater Breeze as I’m not a big fan of aquatic or beach-y fragrances but sounds like Daydream will be right up my alley!

I do so love a good sweet, fruity fragrance! With Spring on the horizon this sounds like a lovely addition to my lighter fragrance library!

It’s available in 1 oz EDP for $39.50 as well in the Signature Collection in a variety of products including shower gel and body lotion!

Have you smelled Bath and Body Works Daydream yet?

Available now at Bath and Body Works.

P.S. It’s Netflix season isn’t it? We had a snow storm Saturday and the cold weather is really starting the set in here in NY even though I’m talking Spring Collections I’m still sitting here freezing my butt off. I call this Netflix season because it’s too damn cold to go out and snuggling down on the couch vegetating seems like a great idea. So, what are you watching on Netflix? I finished off Dracula while I was sick in bed and I’m eager for Sabrina S3. Anything else I should be adding to my list? Maybe I can make a little time to watch some TV before my busy time at work starts!

Happy Monday!

Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Perfecting + Smoothing Primer Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
4 stars out of 5

Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Perfecting + Smoothing Primer is a new makeup and skincare primer that’s available in three formulas which launched with the Revlon Spring 2020 recently.

As you may already know I’m a fond fan of the original Revlon Photoready Primer and I have hopes this new line of PhotoReady Prime Plus Primers won’t replace those formulas but I have a feeling that might just happen. The new formulations address a series of not only makeup issues but also skincare ones and act to treat such issues as dryness, darkness, and blemishes. I’m honestly not a huge fan of combining skincare benefits with my makeup because I feel like that’s what my skincare routine is for. But you might like the fact that Revlon created a primer that address a few different issues as well as preps your face for makeup. They’ve included a few different ingredients in this formulas such as Lactic Acid to exfoliate and Salicylic Acid to treat blemishes. I purchased the Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Perfecting + Smoothing Primer formula which felt like the best pick for drier skin as it contains Hyaluronic acid and Vitamin B5. The thing I am noticing about these primers is they likely won’t promote any long term skincare benefits simply because many of the beneficial ingredients are located very low on the ingredients list and much of the formulas are made up of a variety of different cones. Which isn’t a bad thing by any means but if you’re expecting say a brighten complexion after using this you likely what see such results.

The most interesting aspect of the product is the addition of a label that says it’s EWG Verified. You likely know EWG thanks to their other site called Skin Deep that delves into ingredients and breaks them down for consumers. The EWG Verified label indicates that the Revlon primer is a “clean” product.

That being said, I was still curious enough to test out the Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Perfecting + Smoothing Primer simply because I am a fond fan of the original Revlon Photoready Primer and wanted to see what might be replacing that formula.
