Thank God E.L.F. Hydrating Camo Concealer Is Here Because The Original Was Scary

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Praise the gods of moisture because today they gift us with a new E.L.F. Hydrating Camo Concealer! Camo Concealer launched last January and I quickly got excited that maybe just maybe E.L.F. would have a Tarte Shape Tape Concealer dupe on their hands. After watching many videos (which I rarely do) and reading many reviews I eagerly awaited my package of shades to arrive that I had ordered. Many of the videos and reviews were raving claiming how pigmented and easy to apply the formula was. I rubbed my hands in glee, may have did a little jump in the air, licked my lips, and eagerly peered out the window while casually stalking the mail man for my box. Because, you see, if nothing else I’m a concealer junkie and I do so love trying out new ones. I don’t really have a ton of darkness under my eyes but I’m prone to puffiness and I always look tired if I don’t have a nice brightening concealer under my eyes.

When my package arrived last year I may or may not have torn into it with my teeth. I was pretty damn excited about this launch.

Charlotte Tilbury Lunar New Year Magic Red Matte Revolution Lipstick for Chinese New Year 2020

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Red lipstick fans rejoice because it’s Lunar Year and red is the color of the Holiday! Today, I present to you the Charlotte Tilbury Lunar New Year Magic Red Matte Revolution Lipstick for Chinese New Year 2020. Magic Red Matte Revolution Lipstick is a new, limited edition shade that looks like a warm brick red in promo images which I can totally dig because more blue toned red lipsticks don’t quite work out for me. However, that being said, I do think blue reds look amazing on Asian skin tones so that might have been a better option to go with for this launch! What do you think? The shade comes housed in limited edition red barrel.

Along with the lipstick there’s a limited edition Charlotte Tilbury Lunar Year Charlotte’s Magic Cream with a red top! These come as a set as well if you want both and that set is available exclusively at charlottetilbury.com.

I do want the lipstick but I don’t need the Magic Cream. I love Magic Eye Cream and Magic Night Cream but Magic Cream simply doesn’t do it for me. I really need to maybe give it a second chance as when I originally tried it I was not impressed.

I sort of wish mine had a red top haha…! Which reminds me! I read an article recently that brands were cashing in on Lunar Year. I had some very strong feelings about the fact that the makeup world was capitalizing on Pride Day. This was mainly because there were so many releases that month and very few were actually helping the LGBT+ community. Great rainbow packaging but what about a donation or two to an LGBT+ organization?

I do not feel as averse about Lunar Year launches. I’m actually pretty happy that this year more than any other year we have so many options to celebrate the Chinese New Year. I also think it’s nice brands acknowledge the Chinese New Year.

What do you think?

As for Charlotte Tilbury Lunar New Year Magic Red Matte Revolution Lipstick for Chinese New Year 2020 it’s available now.

Ulta Love Your Skin Event 50% Off Skincare Day 1

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

It’s the first day of the Ulta Love Your Skin Event! And one of my favs is on sale. Remember how I told you I’m not a fan of It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream? I really dislike it. But Confidence In A Gel Lotion Weightless Moisturizer I can totally dig. This is one of my favs in the Confidence Collection (actually one of the only products I like in the collection unless you’re counting some of the Confidence Makeup!). It’s a gel-based moisturizer that absorbs easily and leaves skin oh so hydrated. Today only at ulta.com it’s 50% off during the Love Your Skin Event!

Other skincare 50% Off:

There are new daily skincare buys daily but also, every single day of the sale there are Hot Buys! You can see them all by clicking here but here’s some that caught my eye:

Enjoy!

Too Faced Hangover Wash the Day Away Pore-Purifying Gentle Foaming Cleanser Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
3 stars out of 5

Too Faced Hangover Wash the Day Away Pore-Purifying Gentle Foaming Cleanser ($24) is a new foaming facial cleanser that acts to cleanse skin while removing dirt and oil from pores. Too Faced Skincare is a thing now isn’t it? Night cream, cleanser, serums, they are totally doing a Tarte on us with all these new skincare launches! I suspect an eye cream is in their near future! Don’t get me wrong both Tarte and Too Faced have some pretty great Spring 2020 launches in the works but I guess they also, think now is a good time to strike while the iron is hot and cash in on the skincare category as well!

I decided to dive into Too Faced Skincare head first without any prior research. Why not? I had a coupon so that always helps things along.

That’s how my purchase of Too Faced Hangover Wash the Day Away Pore-Purifying Gentle Foaming Cleanser came about.

Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Hydrate Primer Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
2 stars out of 5

I picked up a mini of the new Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional Hydrate Primer at Ulta. How much do you love that all new makeup and beauty is available in a mini? It’s just such a great and easy way to try something before indulging in a larger size. I paid $13 for the 0.5 oz size. The larger size is 0.75 oz for $32. You’re getting quite a generous amount in the smaller size and plenty to try out before you commit to that larger $32 dollar tube.

I have a love hate relationship with the original the Porefessional formula. It isn’t a formula that’s best for my skin type which is why I was excited about the launch of Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Hydrate Primer as that sounded perfect for my drier skin. Jeez! It sure did take a long time to get here though didn’t it? You’d think at this point in time Benefit would have already gotten on board creating a hydrating primer of some sort. But I do remember a time when hydrating primers were a rarity. 10 plus years ago when Korres introduced their Silicon-Free Primer I was shocked, delighted, and absolutely excited to finally have a primer on the market that would work great on drier skin.

Nowadays hydrating primers are plentiful and not terribly innovative but it doesn’t make the launch of Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Hydrate Primer any less exciting.
