Pur Minerals Festival Eyeshadow Palette ($36) rocking my Monday at the moment. I’m rarely excited about festival makeup. I admit it the endless articles about how to keep your eyeshadow wearing long and strong during Coachella makes me mentally roll my eyes.
Anyway…!
I can get excited about festival makeup if it’s as cool as this new Festival Eyeshadow Palette from Pur Minerals. This is actually gorgeous! This contains 12 press pigments. Note: Pressed pigments likely means they aren’t safe around the immediate eye area according to our government and they’ll likely stain your lids a la the Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Eyeshadow Palette!
That being said, these still look amazing. It’s a mix of shimmers, mattes, and glitter shades in some gorgeous pops of color! The whole bottom row featuring those delicious raspberry reds! It looks like a warmer palette for the most part but they have a pop or two of outrageous pinks and purples that tips it into the interesting zone.
Shades include:
I need the Pur Minerals Festival Eyeshadow Palette in my life! I’m definitely buying this one!

Urban Decay Game of Thrones Dracarys Lip & Cheek Stain ($26) is a new, limited edition blood red cheek and lip stain that will be available with the UD Game of Thrones Collection launching April 24th. Winter has finally arrived and with it the battle for the Iron Throne comes to a epic head starting April 14th on HBO. Bookies are taking bets on who will live and who will die and of course, who will take the throne and their favorites are of course, the King of the North with Daenerys Targaryen a close second. In many ways, I feel positive Dany will take the Throne but I think they’ll be some major twist like, GASP, EVERYONE DIES!
Dracarys Lip & Cheek Stain is Urban Decay’s nod to the small but mighty Mother of Dragons, Daenerys. I think most fans would love to see more makeup involving Daenerys and she does get her own shades in the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette where fiery eyeshadows represent House Targaryen. Dany’s an odd contrast as she personally represents cool, icy shades with her long blonde nearly white hair but her nature can be fiery when provoked.
Since Dany’s makeup is non-existent, I mean really they do more with her hair than her makeup, the Dracarys Lip & Cheek Stain is a very fitting release for her. It offers just pinch of natural flush. I think people think of her character and see two color schemes for sure! One of ice and one of fire and that in itself would make some brilliant eyeshadow palette. So, yeah, it’s disappointing she doesn’t get her own eyeshadow palette but it wouldn’t be very fitting for her character to wear a ton of makeup either. Also, that would mean we’d have to have eyeshadow palettes for all the epic women on GOT.
Anyway…..!
That being said. Let’s get on with swatches and a review of the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Dracarys Lip & Cheek Stain!
