I’m No Sansa Stark But I’m Pretending To Be Today With Her New Vice Lipstick Shade

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.
5 stars out of 5

Urban Decay Sansa Stark Vice Lipsitck ($18) is one of four new, limited edition shades that UD collaborated with HBO to create. I’m not sure I’d say that Sansa plays any real important role in the battle for the Iron Throne, some may disagree, but she could surprise us at some point. The thing about Sansa is she starts out a silly, somewhat bratty girl but she becomes a strong woman. Her journey is one of strength and her evolution is accurately portrayed in A Storm of Swords when she thinks to herself, “My skin has gone from porcelain, to ivory, to steel.” This girl has had to deal with some seriously crummy men (and situations) ! Ramsay Bolton (Do your worst Iwan! I still love you!), Littlefinger, Marillion, Joffrey, it’s just one crappy man after the next. She deserves some happiness and maybe that happiness will come from her sitting on the Iron Throne. Who knows?! That would be a twist to say the least.

Through all of Sansa’s woe Urban Decay still allowed her to retain some of her girlish innocence with her lipstick shade. Her shade is one of lightness, once of innocence, one of sheer naturalness, a truly natural beauty just like Sansa.

Urban Decay Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Highlighter Palette Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.
4 stars out of 5

Urban Decay Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Highlighter Palette ($36) is a new, limited edition highlighter palette that contains three brand new shades of Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter that’s launching on April 24th with the rest of the UD Game of Thrones Makeup Collection.

I dunno if Daenerys’ will take the Iron Throne but she is dominating the UD Game of Thrones Collection thus far with her own highlighter palette and a cheek and lip stain!

I mentioned in my review of the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Dracarys Lip & Cheek Stain how cool it would be if Dany got her own eyeshadow palette as her personality invokes both cool and fiery shades. Her House does get a nod in the upcoming Urban Decay Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette but sadly, she doesn’t not get her own palette. We’d probably have a really huge collection if we addressed all the characters in GOT with their own palettes so, I do understand why UD decided it best to go with one big palette to represent all the houses vying for the throne versus individual palettes for each beloved character. Doesn’t mean a lot of fans, myself included, aren’t a little disappointed by that though!

Technically the palette is actually more of a nod to Dany’s three dragons aka children (she successfully hatched them after dragons have been extinct for many years) Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion. Those are in fact the names of each highlighter you’ll find in this palette (and the names of each dragon). One of the most interesting aspects of the palette is the design they used on the box and compact featuring a 3D-like dragon scale in shades representing each of the dragons. The design isn’t actually raised but it gives the illusion of a 3D design and it looks very lifelike in a certain light. When Dany first gets her three eggs they are considered petrified and for decorative purposes only. As she begins to care for them and apply heat the color changes and becomes intense and more jewel-like in tone. I dunno if these shades in the palette really represent her dragon’s colors well and they do seem repetitive to shades we’ve already seen in in the Afterglow Highlighter Collection but none the less, collector’s will want to get their hands on this I’m sure.

Natasha Denona Transfix Matte Concealer Launched Today and I Want It

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Natasha Denona Transfix Matte Concealer ($28) launched today in 21 shades today and I do want to check it out! Yes, it’s matte but I’m not scared! As a Tarte Shape Tape user I’ve learned not to be too scared of matte concealers. This formula sounds particularly great as it’s marketed as an “ultra-light” formula that contains hyaluronic acid and collagen. Not to mention it’s apparently transfer-proof too!

I had a brief break from Shape Tape while I was having a love fest with Jouer Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer but Spring is here and I’m about ready to try out something new and why not something by Natasha Denona? She’s been kind of rocking my world lately between the Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette and Bloom Blush & Glow Palette which has me hoping her concealer will also knock me over.

The only thing unaddressed in this release is whether you can use it under eyes or not. They didn’t specifically say. I don’t really use concealer on my face and rely on it for under eye use only! I hope the formula will work under eyes because it sounds fantastic.

We shall see!

I’m indulging for sure.

Natasha Denona Transfix Matte Concealer is available now!
