As you know sometimes I like to blather home fragrance on my site and I know for a fact that many of you like myself are madly obsessed with candles from Bath & Body Works.
Sometime ago, in a land not so far away, Slatkin & Co. was a home fragrance company that was started by Harry Slatkin which Bath & Body Works’ purchased. You likely have a candle or a hundred that have the Slatkin & Co label on them that you purchased from Bath & Body Works. Don’t quote me but I think Harry had some creative control over the candles after the purchase of the company as most hardcore candle users will tell you that back in those days the candles you purchased at BBW were way better than the ones you purchase from them now. I do agree on some level.
None the less, this backstory is what brings me to Homeworx which Harry sells on QVC and which I HOPE and pray he brings to another medium because I hate paying for shipping.
The new line of candles is incredible. I’ve purchased two so far and they are so very well done. They are a whooping 18 oz (Bath & Body Works’ are 14.5 oz) in size and have three wicks. They come in very heavy glass jars which you can reuse well after the candle burns down. Not to mention they smell incredible and have fantastic throw.
With Bath & Body Works having far from good deals on their candles lately these are actually an incredible value at $39.90 for two (sadly, you do have to pay $5.50 for shipping which is more than fair considering the heavy weight of the candles).
Today, Harry is debuting a Today’s Special Value on QVC which I didn’t haul but he also debuted his new Ice Cream candles and after hearing and seeing all the ravings on Instagram I decided to haul all four!
These are sold in sets which are paired up as follows:
- Mint Chocolate Chip/Oooey Gooey Salted Caramel
- Creamy Dreamy Vanilla/Fantastic Fudge
Although these sound like one note candles they aren’t from what some of my fav candle bloggers/Instagrammers are saying. For example, Fantastic Fudge apparently has notes of espresso! Oh heck yes! Sign me up!
I’m very eager to try these!
Get them now at qvc.com.
