Too Faced Holiday 2024 Without Jerrod’s Input and We Can Tell

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

As you know already the Too Faced Holiday 2024 Makeup Collection has launched and we’re either getting more of this collection as the Holiday draws nearer or this is it and if so, well, Jerrod’s footprint is absolutely not on this one.

As you well know Jerrod Blandino is co-founder of Too Faced Cosmetics but in 2016 he sold the brand to Estee Lauder for 1.45 billion dollars. As with most sales like this the founder almost always promises to be part of the brand forever and ever and tells us how nothing will change. But you know how Mufasa tells Simba, “Everything the light touches is our Kingdom” and Simba asks, “What about the shadowy place?” Well, the shadowy place is likely Estee Lauder land and the place where makeup brands go to die. No but seriously, everything Estee Lauder touches is not a Kingdom of light and gold. When they take over a brand they completely ruin it in my opinion. Estee Lauder owns over 20 brands some of which they’ve paid a crazy amount of money for and each one of them they have absolutely ripped apart by reformulating and repackaging products we know and love and in some cases even making prices higher. It’s a classic case of paying more and getting less quality. Oddly, their own name brand still remains good quality.

Jerrod left Too Faced in 2022 with a fond farewell and a see you late and a few short years later he created Polite Society which is a new makeup brand in its infancy.

Don’t quote me, it’s merely speculation on my part, but I do imagine that Jerrod likely had some hand in the Too Faced Holiday 2023 Collection. It takes well over a year to create a collection and considering he left in May 2022 there’s a strong chance he still had some hand in the Too Faced Holiday 2023 Collection. Why am I telling you all this? Because last year, it might have been repetitive, but we still got a rather cutesy Holiday launch and this year, well this year reeks Estee Lauder was involved and decided to cheapen things up.

Sephora Favorites Holiday 2024 Advent Calendar Arrives in the UK But Will the US Get It?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The first Sephora Advent Calendar has arrived but there’s a catch…! It’s available in the UK only! The new Sephora Favorites Advent Calendar for Holiday 2024 is a limited-edition massive gift set featuring brands like Sol de Janeiro, Drunk Elephant, Paula’s Choice, Glossier, Kosas and more! It’s packed with 40 products (24 of them are full-sized) to help you count down the days to the Holiday season! You’ll get hair, makeup, fragrance, body and skincare in this gift set and apparently 20 of the items are exclusive to the calendar! What’s inside the Sephora Favorites Holiday 2024 Advent Calendar? If you want spoilers I have them below but before we jump into it can we just discuss how amazing this is? We got the Sephora Beauty Must Haves Advent Calendar and three other Sephora Favorites Advent Calendars for Holiday 2023 and honestly, they weren’t that hot. Some of them pulled a Chanel Advent Calendar moment on us by including small nail files and stickers. Thanks but no thanks! Sephora UK obviously took note because they really packed product into this new Advent Calendar.

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Wakey wakey friends! It’s Tuesday but feels like a Monday! Today’s Deals are live at ulta.com and we got some good stuff!

A lot of LORAC is on sale today. Not the typical eyeshadow palettes they normally do but blushes, highlighters, foundations, and more! I snagged the PRO Soft Focus Longwear Concealer and the Dewy Canvas Prep Moisturizer + Primer!

Select NUDESTIXS are on sale and I’m all about the matte eye pencils! There are so many great Fall shades especially Fig which is a great basic shade for Fall looks!

I used to be a Khiel’s fan but I’m really not that into it now (too many essential oils like lavender) but the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado is still a tried and true fav. Very heavy, very rich, very moisturizing for drier under eyes! I always grab a pot when it goes on sale!

50% off Select Lime Crime
50% Off Select Chi Hair Tools

Here’s Why I’d Spend $52 on the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

$52? For a foundation stick? Yes, the new Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick is a matte yet hydrating stick foundation with a blurred, natural finish that promises all day wear. Apparently, the formula resists heat and humidity. It’s already gotten rave reviews on a variety of forums and a few shades have already sold out. According to what I’ve read people love the easy glide on the stick but also, how it makes skin look like porcelain.

I’m a long time lover of stick foundations! My love goes as far back as the Benefit Playsticks. Not enough brands do a good foundation stick and I’d love to see more of them because they are incredibly easy to apply, easy to travel with, easy for touch ups on the go, and they almost always have a formula that makes skin look incredibly flawless.

During the Holiday season the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick went on sale for $42. It was originally $90 bucks. After purchasing it I understood why it was $90 bucks. The formula is brilliant. The texture is like silk on my skin and it has the easiest glide! It practically applies itself! It’s just so soft, silky, and smooth! If I had to do it all over again and pay full-price I’d totally indulge. The formula was just that good. That’s why I have no issue spending $52 for the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick because if it’s half as good as the Tom Ford I’m pretty sure it’ll be worth that expensive price tag.

Granted, I’ll probably wait for 20% off during the Sephora Holiday Savings Event or if Ulta hits me with a 20% off I’ll grab it then! But I have a feeling if I love it I’ll likely be more than happy paying full-price. As someone who likes natural, lightweight coverage and also, an easy way to apply it (who doesn’t love a swipe, blend, and go moment?) the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Skin sounds like that girl!

Have you tried Dior Forever Skin Perfect Skin? Are you curious to try it?
