Sephora Lipstories Lipstick Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Sephora #Lipstories Lipstick is a new $8 lipstick available in a wide variety of shades and three different finishes of matte, metallic, satin, and cream. If you read my prior post on these Sephora aims for you to create your own story across social media using these lipsticks with the hashtag #lipstories. They feel like fragrance lipstick shades can evoke a certain memory or even create a new one and each of these lipsticks is inspired by a story, adventure, or experience in your life that has happened or is awaiting for you to create.

It’s a cute idea and a completely affordable one as well as they are a mere eight dollars each which means you can happily pick up a few shades without breaking the bank. Each lipstick has a unique label inspired by the shade and a possible adventure in life you may take. I thought the labels were adorable. For my first purchase, I choose the shade Matinée which is a pretty brown undertoned raspberry. I choose the shade not based on color but just my love of cinema. Corny I know but it was the first shade that caught my attention as I’m a major fan of foreign and indie films. Like books, film can take you completely away from all the insanity of life and put you in a happy, calm spot for two to three hours so that the stress of your day just seeps away. I am very guilty of using a good movie to shake off a long, hard day at work. If you haven’t seen it already my latest love is The Shape of Water. I can’t believe I’m saying this considering his body of work but this is one of del Toro’s best films. I loved it! Go and see it over the long Holiday weekend if you haven’t already!

But how about this Sephora Lipstories Lipstick…

Christmas Clearance with Free Shipping

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

sales

Macys.com has updated their sale section with some excellent deals that are worth peeking at! Here’s a few that caught my eye! And don’t forget ALL BEAUTY SHIPS FREE!

All Philosophy Shower Gels are $10 each! I wonder what this means! I’ve seen these on sale across many different retailers lately and I’m wondering if they blame to eliminate them completely from their permanent collection or if they are planning a relaunch. It would seem weird if they stop them completely as their 3-in-1 formula put them on the map!

I posted this in an earlier post but it is worth a re-mention here! All Benefit Box o’ Powder Blushes are $14.50 today only including Galifornia. Don’t get confused as there are mini versions for $15 on the site but the full-size versions which are typically $29 are $14.50 today only.

MAC Snow Ball Holiday Kit includes four full-size lipsticks and is $22! That’s $5.50 per lipstick! Sweet deal!

On my list are Elizabeth Arden Gelato Crush Cool Glow Cheek Tints which are a cushion blush! These are $13.25 each! I also have the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Bold Liquid Lipstick ($11) on my list!

If you didn’t pick up the Buxom Ferocious Flirt Gift Set at Ulta because of shipping now is a good time to get it for $21 with free shipping!

Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette is still $39 and worth a pick up as a gift or to get for yourself if you don’t already have it!

There are LOTS of other items available but these are just a few that caught my eye. I’m just picturing boxing day sales if we already have all this clearanced out!

L’Oreal Infallible Galaxy Lumiere Collection Takes You to a Galaxy Far, Far Away

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new L’Oréal Infallible Galaxy Lumiere Collection has arrived just in time to prove my prediction about the galaxy and space being a major trend for Spring 2018. It feels like iridescent space themed luminous makeup is the next unicorn trend.

Fact of the matter is though, you’re either really hyped about that icy cool Frozen look or you’re like me cringing at the idea of frosty duochrome whites and lilacs gracing your makeup stash.

I can’t pull the look off, can you?
