Tarte Amazonian Clay Highlighter Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Tarte Exposed Amazonian Clay Highlighter

Tarte Amazonian Clay Highlighter ($26) in Exposed is a new 12-Hour Highlighter that Tarte introduced with their Naughty Nudes Blush Collection earlier last month. This is interesting release for Tarte since they tend to like to pair up their highlighters with the popular, cult favorite Park Ave Princess Bronzer. Although the shade Angelic made an appearance in the Tarte Fantastic Foursome Amazonian Blush Set that launched with the Tarte Holiday 2012 Collection.

Exposed is like nothing you’ve seen from Tarte in the past and the formula quite reminds me of the soft texture we we’re privy to in the Sephora Exclusive Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette.

MAC It’s a Strike Inspired By Bowling?

mac it's a strike

MAC It’s a Strike arrives for Fall 2016 with a selection of colorful lipsticks, Creemsheen Glass, eyeshadow shades and more inspired by bowling!? I think the point is your makeup is so on point you’ll knock people down, like pins at a bowling alley?

I dunno, I’m totally grasping at straws here people!

I do know that the MAC Pearlmatte Face Powder in Trophy is totally Al Bundy Approved!

STRIKE!!!!

I would also like to tell you there’s a shade called Babes and Balls. And I’ll leave that right here for you to muse about.

My Shower Gel Collection Seems to Have Surpassed My Makeup One

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

beauty confession

Beauty confession! Um my shower gel collection seems to have surpassed my makeup one. I’ve always had a very real problem when it comes to collecting shower gels. I used to be particularly obsessed with Philosophy Shower Gel. I would just like to say that fact that Philosophy rarely releases new ones is likely because they know about people like me and wanted to give us a little bit of a break. I’m not that person that says, “Oh let me finish this shower gel before I buy a new one!”

Nope, not me.

I have to have a new shower gel even though I have fifty other bottles stockpiled in my bathroom cabinet that are barely used. My latest obsession is Tone Blissful Awakening Energizing Body Wash Caffeine & Vanille Blossom! It reminds me of Britney Spears Private Show! Seriously, buy it now. It’s yummy!

The good news is my obsession with shower gel is currently under wraps. I put myself on an ABSOLUTELY NO BUY EVER AGAIN until I use up what I have. At this point, I have enough shower gel to clean most of the USA and some of Europe.

I’m proud of myself because the Tone Body Wash is actually the only one I purchased in like the past year. I deserve an ice cream cone or some major reward for displaying such feats of great strength.

Got a beauty confession you want to get off your chest?

Share it here!

I’m listening and willing to forgive you!

🙂

Chapstick Slurpee Flavors are Likely J.D. and Veronica Approved

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Chapstick Slurpee

I’m positive a Chapstick Slurpee in Grape or Blue Raspberry would have been a better way to woe Veronica than that big old Cherry Slurpee Big Gulp you purchased for her J.D. Why, I bet if you purchased her a Chapstick flavored like a Slurpee instead of the actual drink you guys would still be together. Even Heather would approve of these new Chapstick Slurpee flavors because she totally looks like a girl that can appreciate a good Chapstick flavor.

The movie Heathers gave birth to my love of matching colors, mean girls, croquet, corn nuts, and Slurpees.

Inglot Cream Concealer Review & Swatches

Inglot Cream Concealer

I picked up two shades of Inglot Cream Concealer while in St Maarten recently. I’m not sure how long the Inglot store has been there, it’s on the Dutch side of the island and I don’t recall when I was there last year noticing the store. None the less I was excited they had an Inglot store on the island and I ventured in without hesitation.

Sadly, I was disappointed. The store itself was super comfortable considering it was brutally hot out side but it was also small and only had one employee who was unable to help me because she was applying makeup on someone else. Aside from myself, the girl getting her makeup done, and the makeup artist the store was quiet and I was able to browse at my leisure. A majority of the items I wanted were sold out though. They had bright trays of eyeshadow but many were empty because the shades were sold out. I ended up walking out with two Cream Concealer shades and an lash curler because nothing I wanted was available. Pretty crazy right?

But, none the less, I was happy with my concealer purchases and I quickly popped them open when I got in front of a mirror to try them out.
