L'Oreal La Palette Noir Eyeshadow Palette

Uh oh! The L’Oreal La Palette Noir Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2016 has arrived at Ulta.com and I’m having some inner turmoil about whether I need it or not! I was quite impressed with L’Oreal La Nude Eyeshadow Palette (and I kinda liked La Nude 2 as well) but La Palette Noir is a lot darker and a lot more difficult to pull off.

This palette is focused on a smokier look but it is dominated by a good deal of blue particularly navy blue. I feel like it’ll be difficult to differentiate between shades. I’m picturing all the shades looking the same on my lids. I’m also picturing potentially patchy blending BUT…La Nude 1 and 2 were very soft and very easy to blend so I can’t call it quits on that account right?

Like La Nude 1 and La Nude 2, La Palette Noir is $19.99 and contains 10 eyeshadow shades. According to Ulta these are both matte and metallic in finish but I’m doubtful there are any metallics here.

I’ll sit and ponder this a while longer.

In the mean time, let me know if you’re going to indulge.

Get it at Ulta.com and use promo code 303228 to save $3.50.

Wet n Wild Coloricon Blush (New Formulated for Spring 2016) Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Coloricon Blush New Formula

Wet n Wild Coloricon Blush has been newly reformulated for Spring 2016 and launched in two repromoted shades and one new shade. I’m all about introducing new shades in a product line but if the formula isn’t broke, don’t fix it.

Wet n Wild Coloricon Blush was never broke so there was no need to reformulate it. It was pigmented, it blended well, it wore great, it looked amazing on cheeks, and it didn’t cost a ton of money.

Absolutely no reason to fix it.

Or in this case break it.

5 Moisturizing Eye Creams for Dry Eyes

Moisturizing Eye Creams for Dry Eyes

I wanted to do a top 5 moisturizing eye creams for dry eyes post for a while now as many people asking me, “What’s your favorite eye cream?” I honestly can’t say I have yet found my holy grail eye cream. I have however, tried many and loved few.

I puffiness, finer lines, mild dark circles, dryness, and my eyes tend to look tired. I’ve eliminated hope of every finding an eye cream that treat dark circles but I have found ones that moisturize which in turn makes my finer lines look way better and also ones that make my eyes look awake and happy.

Now, this is a post about moisturizing eye creams for dry eyes so it isn’t a post you’ll find eye creams that treat finer lines or eye cream recommendations that will ease puffiness. My theory about finer lines is that they look all the more better if I hydrate. So if you’re having problems with your concealer creasing or caking into finer lines it likely means you need more moisture. Don’t get me wrong there are plenty of awful concealer formulas out there but in most cases many can be fixed up easily if you have a good, moist eye cream to ease the way for application. Are you’re finer looks glaringly obvious? Do your eyes look tired? You need more moisture. When I look tired or my fine lines look they have a spotlight on them I typically need to get to work moisturizing the area. Once I moisturize I find my lines look smooth and plumped and my eyes aren’t as tired looking.

Moral of the stuff?

Moisture, moisture, moisture!

So here are 5 Moisturizing Eye Creams for Dry Eyes that I love.
