You know me, I get terribly excited about new concealer and this season has truly been the season of new formulas! Born This Way Concealer, Tarte Shape Tape, just to name a few have popped up and crossed my radar recently and now I have my sights set on Smashbox Studio 24-Hour Concealer as well as potentially having Tom Hiddleston run around in an I Heart the Muse tank top. Or maybe Benedict Cumberbatch, beggars can’t be choosers, I’ll settle for either/or.

Don’t sit there on a high horse acting like these thoughts haven’t crossed your mind since seeing that photo of Hiddleswift. I know I have irrational jealous and hateful feelings towards Tay-Tay at the moment for taking away my beloved Loki.

Anyway, I have a better chance getting my hands on the new Smashbox Studio 24-Hour Concealer than Hiddleston so, on with the beauty show, kids.

I broke my no buy and indulged in Bath & Body Works Beach Nights (Summer Marshmallow) yesterday but it’s fleetingly beautiful, oh, and it give me a bad case of s’more cravings.

Why a no buy? Because I’ve told myself I wouldn’t indulge in any more Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mists because they oh so disappoint me. Yes, yes I know layer! I do layer but even though Bath & Body Works improved their formula a few years ago I still can’t get them to last on my skin. It’s a mist and disappear moment. Le sigh. Seriously, it’s like misting with water most days.

But I couldn’t resist Bath & Body Works Beach Nights because hello, marshmallow! How does anyone resist marshmallow scented anything right?

These newfangled moisturizer slash face primer formulas might just be all the rage for Fall 2016. Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm ($36) sounds an awful lot like the new Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer with a formula that preps skin for makeup while hydrating.

This skincare slash makeup hybrid is a light, creamy whipped formula that allows makeup to apply easily while providing a soft, luminous glow to skin and a host of anti-aging ingredients that plump, smooth, and hydrate skin!

I have to admit I love the idea of these but I also question them. I mean how much different are they from say a hydrating primer like the new E.L.F. Beautifully Bare 3-in-1 Makeup Base I recently reviewed? But I also correct and remind myself how considerably more moisture they provide! I’m kind of loving this trend and I’m looking forward to seeing how it develops over the next few months because I don’t think Clinique and Josie are going to be alone for long.
