MIX:BAR Pear Blossom is the newest Mix Bar scent coming to Target and is already available at target.com for Spring 2023. Target’s been busy in the fragrance department lately. They recently launched a line of perfumes called Fine’ry as you know from my reviews and they are working on adding new scents to their already collection of fragrances.

I’m here for it baby! I really enjoy the Mix Bar Perfumes! Last Summer, they released Sparkling Hibiscus which I really loved, and one of my favorites is Vanilla Bourbon. It’s a nice line of fragrances.

I’m not really sure what they mean with the inspiration for Pear Blossom but apparently, the scent is inspired “by the addictive quality of coconut wood”. Ummm ok!?!??! It contains notes of juicy pear, peony petals, apple wood, and white musk. Reviews are saying it starts fruity but dries down to a delicate floral Seems like it produces the same experience as Juliette Has a Gun Pear Inc.

The Winter’s here and so is a new skincare trend called skin flooding. What is skin flooding? It sounds like the new moisture sandwich to me! The general idea of skin flooding is to apply layers of hydrating skincare to damp skin to maximize the effects of each product and prevent moisture loss.

Ok, so you mean a moisture sandwich right? The idea of a moisture sandwich is to apply water products on already damp skin and then layering thicker ones on top. The key to the best “sandwich” is to start with damp skin (cleanse first and apply your favorite facial mist! Mine is Sana Hadanomy Deep Moisturizing Mist) and apply your favorite serum (I swear by Triple Peptide Hydrating + Firming Oasis Serum with Hyaluronic Acid or for a more affordable option the Bliss Drench and Quench Hyaluronic Acid Serum is great!). After that first application mist your face again or even apply a lightweight essence (I love Etude Moistfull Collagen Toner). After that, you can apply your favorite facial oil, followed by your favorite moisturizer, and if you want you can seal it all up with something like CeraVe Healing Ointment or Vaseline!

It feels like Skin Flooding is the same concept. Essentially it’s a technique used to prevent water loss and flood the skin with moisture by using a humectant to hydrate and layering an emollient product on top to lick in moisture and prevent water loss.

As you may know Selfless by Hyram was an affordable skincare collection created by skincare youTuber and Tiktoker, Hyram Yarbro. The skincare line consisted of five products and was created in conjunction with the Inkey List aka Founded by Colette Laxton and Mark Curry.

Selfless by Hyram had a very brief moment of fame at Sephora but quickly went on clearance and had an exit a few months after the launch. Typically this spells major trouble for a brand but Hyram isn’t quite giving up on his brand yet. Very soon you’ll be able to get the Selfless Skincare Collection at Target stores and target.com with a bit of a price decrease! Initially the products sold for $16-30 but you’ll find them at Target starting at $13 through $24 when they become officially available.

Hyram is quoted as saying, that he was watching as everyone wrote Selfless off on social media but really wanted to spill the details that it wasn’t gone forever and would be making a come back with a rebirth at Target. However, he expressed he had to wait to share the news. He’s quoted as saying, ‘We’re still charging full speed ahead.”

Target is definitely a way more accessible way to enjoy Selfless Skincare and Hyram is opening himself up to an entire new audience making this a very, very good business deal and move. I’ve seen entire brands go down after exiting Sephora (Who remembers OCC Cosmetics?) but Hyram can be counted as one of the lucky ones to snag such a major deal like Target. The brand did launch globally when it was with Sephora but unfortunately, with the new Target deal it might not have that far a reach but still will have access to a large fanbase of skincare and beauty enthusiasts who love an affordable beauty pick! The brand is launching across 775 Target locations in all 50 states.

With time, hopefully, Selfless will introduce more products if it succeeds at Target. We shall see how it goes.

Fine’ry Perfume is a new collection of fragrances in Eau de Parfum and Body Mist that are available exclusively at Target and Target.com at the moment. The collection includes nine fragrances many of which are going viral as being dupes for fragrances like Chanel Chance, Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry, Byredo Sundaze, Le Labo Santal 33, and Billie Eilish Eilish Perfume.

I first heard about these on Tiktok and immediately went to search them out at Target. I had very little success at my first two stores but finally discovered them at a third store. Since that time Fine’ry created a Tiktok account. Guess they saw the social response eh? One thing that was a little disappointing is I noticed a sudden price increase. I paid $27.99 each for the two fragrances I purchased. I didn’t purchase body mists but those were $12.99 each. The Fine’ry Collection launched online finally at target.com but the prices are a bit different. I hope it’s just an error but I fear not. The EDPs are $34.49 each and the body mists are $18.29. That’s a pretty big difference from the store prices. If you aren’t prepared to spend that much on a blind fragrance you can snag the $19.99 Fine’ry Fragrance Perfume Sampler Discovery Gift Set that includes five of the fragrances which are 0.05 oz each (includes Before the Rainbow, I’m a Musk, Flower Bed, Sun Phoria, and Sweet on the Outside). I wonder why the price increase? Did they see the sudden interest on Tiktok?

This collection of fragrances joins some of Target’s other collections from brands like Mix Bar and Good Chemistry! I’ve always felt like Target’s Beauty Department had some very unique offerings and I was a little concerned they would tame it back when Ulta locations started opening in stores. I’m happy to say the Fine’ry Fragrance Collection is proof that Target will continue introducing new and unique beauty products to their collection despite Ulta’s openings.

Fine’ry is available now at Target. Get ’em while you can! I’m sure Tiktok will sell them out the way they do everything lately!

I didn’t even know Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water Replumping Hyaluronic Acid + Aloe ($10.49-$13.49) existed. Oops! Garnier has come out with so many variations of their Micellar Water formula that I’m way behind on trying the all. Rose, Vitamin C, Waterproof, and now we have a version with Hyaluronic Acid. Well, sign me up because I’m passionate about any and all Hyaluronic Acid products. I’m convinced Hyaluronic Acid makes my skin look brighter, smoother, and more hydrated. It can’t hurt having it in my micellar water right?
