Fine’ry Not Another Cherry Eau de Parfum ($34.49) is a new Tom Ford Lost Cherry Perfume dupe that’s available at Target in an EDP and Body Mist formula. As you may know from my prior post Fine’ry is a new Fragrance Collection that’s exclusively available at Target which has a good deal of interesting duplications for popular fragrances! I recently reviewed Fine’ry Sweet On the Outside which Tiktok made out to be a dupe for Billie Eilish Eilish Eau de Parfum. Sadly, it wasn’t a dupe at all which had me a little concerned about the Not Another Cherry Perfume purchase I made as everyone was saying that was a dupe of Tom Ford Lost Cherry and I had some serious doubts about that.

Is it?

Let’s find out.

Fine’ry Not Another Cherry Eau de Parfum is available in a two ounce cherry red bottle with a plastic cap. The bottle is modern and simple yet feels and looks elegant. It has a certain “library of fragrance collection” look if that make senses. The two ounce bottle was $27.99 at my Target store but recently the Fine’ry Collection launched online and the prices are dramatically different. The mists were $12.99 in store and the EDPs were $27.99. However, online the EDPs are $34.49 and the mists are $18.29. Interesting! I wonder if the price was somehow influenced by the fact they are currently making the rounds on Tiktok. I will say if any interest you NOW is the time to get them because I think they’ll sell out at some point and proceed to be impossible to find after due to whatever supply issues du jour of the moment we’re experiencing due to the pandemic.

The scent is described as the last decadent bite of an amaretto-soaked cherry with notes of Wild Cherry, Turkish Rose, and Almond Amaretto. Fine’ry’s Not Another Cherry is not a Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe but the two are cousins of a sort. I think Lost Cherry is a bit more alcohol based on the initial mist whereas Not Another Cherry instantly hits you with its top notes. Funny right? Considering Lost Cherry is $390 for 1.7 oz.

Lost Cherry contains notes of Black Cherry, Tonka Bean, and Almond. It’s a tart cherry that dries down to a powdery warm finish. Sadly, for the money, it wears very close to the skin and produces a weaker scent bubble in comparison to other Tom Ford fragrances. Do I still love it yes? Will I replace it with Not Another Cherry? No. But I would happily buy Not Another Cherry again because it’s a unique cherry scent in its own right and doesn’t need to live in the shadow of Lost Cherry as it’s good enough all it’s own (or you can combine the two for an extra dose of yummy cherry!).

Out of the two Fine’ry Fragrances I purchased, I would say this is my favorite. I really enjoyed it. And considering the fragrance world, in my opinion, is sadly lacking in good cherry scents I’m happy to add another to my collection. This has absolutely no alcohol on the initial mist. It sprays on and immediately let’s loose a melody of cherry and almond amaretto giving it a desert smell. Rose is here as well but she’s very much a background player and doesn’t play a key role in the fragrance. They accurately marketed this as it does indeed smell like a cherry soaked in amaretto. It’s syrupy, warm, yet sweet. It smells expensive, luxurious, niche-like, and of course, is a lightly fruity sweet gourmand with a good deal of warmth. It’s sexy, sultry, and feminine. I think the great thing about this is it’s a hell of a lot cheaper compared to Tom Ford and has a way better linger and throw. Lost Cherry is a delightful fragrance but the wear is incredibly short for $300+ dollars. This creates a beautiful scent bubble that lasts and lingers in the air around the wearer.

Fine’ry Not Another Cherry Eau de Parfum isn’t going to replace Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. It is, however, a beautiful fragrance all its own and doesn’t need to hide in the shadows of Tom Ford. It can happily stand on its own in the spotlight. It’s a beautiful cherry fragrance well worth picking up if you’re a gourmand fan.
