Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale for Fall 2021 starts today August 29th and runs through September 18th. It’s a great time to grab great deals on makeup, skincare, and more at incredible steals of 50% off retail prices.

Every day for the next few weeks you’ll be able to get up to five items on sale that will be 50% off! Each of these items is on sale for one day only and Platinum and Diamond Members get free shipping on any order that includes an item from the sale! They’ll also have access to some sale items available exclusively for them.

Possible the best part about the sale is many new Fall 2021 items will start launching as well which makes for a tempting time to snag a deal as well as a new launch! Already the new itempage is filled with items like the Kiko Charming Escape Collection featuring those gorgeous Charming Escape Blushes, Flower Beauty Fall 2021 is now available as well with a new Desert Lights Shadow Palette, I Heart Revolution’s yummy Fruity Pebbles Collection, Morphe’s Cherry Cola Collection, the darling Beauty Bakerie The Artisan Brush Set, and of course, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer! Not to mention all the new Too Faced! Cinnamon Swirl Sweet & Spicy Eye Shadow Palette, Melted Matte Cinnamon Bun Liquid Lipstick, and Lady Bold Cream Lipstick are available now!

Note: Items are showing the full price right now but place them in your cart and the discount is reflected!

Today’s items include:
Tarte Shape Tape Glow Wand $13.50
Tarte Shape Tape Glow Powder $14.50
Foreo LUNA Mini 3 $79.50
Tarte Amazonian Clay 16-Hour Full Coverage Foundation $19.50
Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Water Cream Hyaluronic Glow Moisturizer $19.50
Select Philosphy Amazing Grace Fragrances 50% Off

I would recommend finally grabbing a Foreo if you’d have your eye on one as Clarisonic does leave us in September and before long your stash of brushes will run out. Thankfully enough Foreo is a one-time purchase and replacement brush heads are not required making it a great pick if you prefer something more than manual cleansing when washing your face. Another great pick is the Tarte foundation which is very, very pigmented with a light, creamy consistency that provides incredible coverage and a nice, brightening finish that’s very natural! I got Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Water Cream Hyaluronic Glow Moisturizer in a recent sale a few months ago and quite love this HA-infused formula that has a light consistency that absorbs easily! It’s a great daily moisturizer.

Let me know what you grab during the sale today!

My Kinky Target Bullseyes Playground Item Addiction And How I Can’t Find Any Of It or An Ulta at My Target

Let’s get weird and freaky for a little bit here!

I have a home decor kink! It turns me on like you would not believe! Home Goods, Home Sense, Target, yassss, please! So hot! Mmmm….! Those long strolls down the aisle of Target to pick up toilet paper just makes me so…..wink wink nudge nudge!

I know all of you have a Target kink and a Home Goods one and a Home Sense one…! I see you, I know. Yup! Don’t sit there acting like you don’t know exactly what I mean when I say I have a Target fetish!

In all seriousness, gather around my friends! Let’s sit in a circle and discuss the culture of the Target Bullseyes Playground and Dollar Spot items and the lack of Ulta over here!

I Took On 10 New Accounts at Work This Month And It’s Kicking My Butt Here’s 4 Products I Use To Keep Myself Looking Bright, Fresh, and Awake

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Wakey wakey friends!

I hope you’re doing well over there. That your work week was productive, that you had plenty of time for play, that you were treated well and your treated others just as well, and that you were the good humans I know you are!

I’m not a morning person at all but I push myself to get an early start to my day. Every morning I’m up at 4:45AM to get my day going! I get my workout in, my morning meditation, I start taking pics for the blog and writing articles, and prepare for the day ahead. At exactly 8:00 every day I start my real workday (no, I don’t blog full time).

If it were up to me I’d rock n’ roll all night and party my way through sleeping in the day. I hate mornings with a passion. I’m built for the night but in my adult version of the world, I have to be up early and get my day going. One thing I love about being on the West Coast is the fact that the days seem so much longer! My biggest complaint about being an East Coast dweller is that the time goes by so fast and it feels like there are simply not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Not the case here on the West Coast! I feel like I have hours and hours to get what I want to be done and still have hours and hours left over. It’s a novelty but it also means I don’t always look my best.

Me getting up at 4:30 AM here means that it’s 1:30 AM back home. Yeah, not fun. Basically, my body is telling me, “Hey! You should be sleeping!” I’ve been trying to get a video chat in with a wonderful, incredible online friend (see her pic below) that lives in Denmark (She’s an actress, one of her films is on Amazon! Go watch it! I wish you know her because if you did you’d be amazed at her transformation in the film!). We get into the discussions about life, the universe, and how maybe 42 isn’t the answer after all (Haha..I know I piss all my fellow geeks off when I say that! I got nice hate e-mails about it! I promise, I don’t believe that! 42 REALLY is the answer!). In all seriousness, she’s one of those people you connect with and all the superficial BS of the platform you met up on goes away for a moment, it’s background noise, and what really comes through are the discussions you have sharing feelings with one another. Anyway! I think it would be far easier for her if I just stayed up until 1AM or something to do the call and my mind is fine with that as I’m still living that East Coast time zone over here but I know in the morning my body and face won’t thank me. I stayed up a bit last night to catch a little bit of a Live a creator did on Instagram but man, I’m obviously old because decided the best thing for my body and my mind was to go to bed so I wasn’t looking like a zombie this morning.

This month was a good month for work. I took on ten rather big corporate accounts and yeah, it’s kicking my butt but I love a challenge and I never shy away from hard work. It does mean the blog has been suffering a little content-wise lately but I’m def powering through things over here. It’s a lot to take on for someone who is self-employed with a smaller workforce but I LOVE the hard work and I know I’ll do great by these accounts. I’m sorry if that comes across as vain but the one place I know I excel at is work.

So, kicking my butt at work also means I look run down lately. Puffy eyes, puffy face, a bit pale, and day I say haggard? I’m simply amazed that my boyfriend can wash his hair, face, and body with a bar of Irish Spring soap and proceed to look like a 19-year-old but I have to apply 25 different lotions and potions to look half as good.

This is not fair.

I don’t like it.

Who do I complain to?

But Here’s How I keep myself looking bright, fresh, and awake when I feel like I’m looking tired AF.

Buying Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer Was a No Brainer

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer ($29) launched today in 29 shades and it’s one of the most exciting concealer releases since Tarte Shape Tape hit the market. This new lightweight, creamy concealer has a host of amazing benefits! Will it live up to them all? We can hope so.

This is formulated with a light, creamy consistency that promises to blur with brightening and correcting benefits as well as a second-skin finish. The coverage is medium to full and instantly brightens with a light-reflecting, soft focus that has crease-free coverage that won’t sink into lines or cake under eyes. It contains glycerin for moisture as well as amino acids which apparently help the concealer to adhere to the skin.

I just ordered two shades from Ulta.com and I’m eager to try the formula out for myself. I’m quite happy with Tarte Shape Tape as it’s always served me well but I can be tempted by any and all new concealer releases as I am ever always a concealer junkie.

I haven’t tried an ABH concealer in years! I think the last one I tried was in a pot! I will say I always get wary of concealers that promise medium to full coverage because typically they end up being a lot sheerer than one hopes.

Interestingly, ABH fails to reveal the actual finish of Magic Touch Concealer aside from “natural” and “second-skin”. Hmmm! Is it matte? Demi-matte? They choose not to identify that in their description which I found intriguing.

One thing I am hopeful for is that this doesn’t turn into a contouring concealer versus an undereye one! I think too many concealers try to be both lately. I just want something that works great under my eyes and provides the same or better coverage than Tarte Shape Tape but I have yet to discover anything better to compete with it.

Perhaps Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer will be it.

If you’d like to check it out it’s available now!

Ulta’s Quarterly Sales Reach 2 Billion But Hey Sephora, How You Doing?

beauty news

People are returning back to the land of the living and Ulta reported nearly 2 billion in quarterly sales as consumers returned to stores and went beauty shopping again! It’s been a long and hard journey to the center of the Earth with this pandemic and we’ve learned a lot about ourselves, about each other, and about makeup, beauty, and what it means to us in the long run.

According to Ulta’s Chief executive officer, Ulta consumers have finally returned to stores and foot traffic has improved and continues to increase daily but still does remain lower than 2019 levels. The beauty bubble feels very much broken but many reports not only from Ulta but other sources say that interest in makeup is returning faster than was expected. I’d like to say the interest in beauty is a return to the land of living as we’ve all be in the house for long we’re just eager to break free and shop makeup again. But I do blame it on the fact brands have slowed releases to a point that this in fact has helped build anticipation over new product launches. The fact we aren’t inundated with constant releases has really made us eager for them when they do come.

Obviously, these earnings come on the heels of Ulta opening in Target locations. As of now, there are 58 Target locations that have Ulta stores located right in stores. The exciting thing about their gains is last year they reported 1.2 billion which shows an incredible increase.

An interesting little tidbit is that e-commerce sales are lower than in-store ones and about 20% of online shoppers are choosing to pick orders up. I don’t actually use the buy online and ship-to-store option but they have offered some great coupons when utilizing this feature and that could be why they see such an increase in the option’s use.

With the advent of Tiktok, the industry is abuzz with a makeup renaissance but sales aren’t quite they were before the pandemic but are still improving with time. As always the skincare and self-care movement continues to drive sales forward with double-digit growth compared to previous years.

Moving forward Ulta plans to have a successful third quarter by providing new in-store services like hydrafacials, micro-channeling, and even dermaplaning.

Ulta feels confident enough to project sales between 8.1 to 8.3 billion for the year. Whether they reach the goal remains to be seen but as we can see they are doing a great job reaching that goal already! I’m looking forward to hearing about Sephora’s earnings report which has yet to be released!
