Mario Badescu Cleansing Oil Makes It’s Debut

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Mario Badescu Cleansing Oil is a new, mineral oil-free formula that’s available now at ulta.com ($16). Using a mise of rice bran, evening primrose, and lavandin oils this cleanser removes makeup easily without stripping skin.

Damn, you had me for a second there! I was really into the whole evening primrose thing but you threw in lavandin and it all went boom. Lavandin is of the same family of lavender oil and not something you want to be smearing all over your face. Although, this has some excellent oils including jojoba and rice bran the lavandin oil might kill it for some. The good news is it is closer to end of the list of ingredients so it may just have a small amount with luck.

I am so sadly unexcited about this. My makeup removal at the moment consists of the brilliant Paulas Choice Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm and a follow up with CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser. I’m pretty happy with that. I haven’t been making a lot of use out of cleansing oils lately because I noticed many of the formulas I was using make my skin really tight and dry after using.

Mario Badescu Cleansing Oil is available now at Ulta.

Think you’ll try it?

I’ve Mastered Pat Mcgrath Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Setting Powder Now I Can Buy the Banana Shade

I finally mastered Pat Mcgrath Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Setting Powder application and I’m remember to take on that new yellow shade! As you may know I was determined to make Pat Mcgrath Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Setting Powder but sadly, it wasn’t happening!

I’ve been in love with this smooth baked powder for a whole now! Its very powdery but soft, finely milled, and ultra silky! It’s also very pigmented and brightens up eyes beautifully. Sadly, my eyes are just too dry for it and this creases within moments of application. I’ve tried a few different techniques and up until now I haven’t been able to quite master this formula

I think I got it now!

I’m One Of Those Grumpy People That’s Glad I Didn’t Have to Read About Coachella Trends This Year

Notice how quiet on the beauty front in April? That’s because Coachella was cancelled for 2021. Go cry about it! I’m one of those grumpy people that doesn’t care! Coachella is an exciting event and I recall a time it was about the music! I had two great experiences at Coachella. It was freaking amazing. Sadly, it’s became a big PR event the last several years. It’s especially become a really tiresome topic in the beauty world where there’s an endless stream of weird and silly trends that pop up during the two week event. I swear the birth of unicorn and mermaid makeup somehow came from Coachella. I’m convinced of it.

Needless to say, I am so glad I don’t have to read about Coachella trends this year. I’m sorry to be Miss Grumpy pants but I really feel like the trends they promote during the festival are absolutely ridiculous.

Notice there weren’t been a ton of glitter, iridescent, pastel, unicorn hued makeup collections back in April (I’m talking to your Tarte!)….! I sort of like it’s been quite on that front.

I know, I know, I sound like such a grump…! No one is a bigger kid than I am. I’m a complete child but the Coachella trends just made me cringe in agony…!

It’s sort of nice not having to read about it this year.

Don’t hate me for taking a break for enjoying this break from Coachella.

Still friends?

What about you?

Did yo miss the Coachella trends this year?

Or were you sort of happy they didn’t pop?
