Here’s 5 Things I Want To Try from Florence By Mills That’s Available Now

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

As you know Florence by Mills is a new makeup and skincare brand created by Millie Bobby Brown. It’s finally available at Ulta.com and it’ll be headed into stores on September 22nd. Marketed for Gen Z the line is vegan and PETA-certified and contains an assortment of makeup and skincare options that are $10 to $34.

I’m not exactly the Florence by Mills demographic but some of the items like Swimming Under the Eyes Gel Pads seem like they should be fitting for a dry skin girl like myself.

I think the line is intriguing so, I’m not writing it off as quickly as I did Tarte’s Sugar Rush Collection (which actually had some pretty good offerings despite some of the dumb marketing).

Here’s 5 things I want to try from the Florence by Mills line which are available now!

Fall 2019 Makeup Collections Are They Coming?

I had a rather busy weekend (I got a chance to see It Chapter 2 thoughts?) but I realized Fall 2019 Makeup Collection have seemed to past me by when I got back to my desk this morning it was all holiday, all day. You say goodbye and I say hello! Hello, Hello, Hello? Where are you Fall 2019 Makeup Collections? I miss you!

It’s all holiday today. I remember, at the risk of sounding like my dad again (I remember walking to school in 18 feet of snow, bare foot, carrying a 25lb backpack), when Fall Makeup Collections didn’t hit until the end of September and Holiday Collections didn’t arrive until the end of October or even, GASP, the start of November.

Yeah. True.

Insane.

I’ve written about this topic before but I think seasonal makeup collections are truly becoming a thing of the past. In the case, of Fall releases I feel like they transcend seasons and just merge and become part of two seasons. For example, Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette is turning into a Fall slash Holiday 2019 release. This is the same for Tarte’s new Treasures Collector’s Set. It’s promoted as a Holiday release but the shades scream Fall.

As for Too Faced, hell, they said screw Fall we’re going full-on Holiday. They released info on Holiday 2019 fully but we haven’t heard a peep about Fall launches! Unless you consider the Palm Springs Dreams Cocktail Party Eye Shadow Palette and Watermelon Slice Face and Eye Palette fall offerings, which I don’t. Ok, so, in all fairness I might give the Palm Springs Palette a go for Fall! The shades do remind me of falling leaves but still, it’s not really much of a Fall launch is it?

I guess in someways this does save us money plus it gives a little rest as the makeup collections have been coming fast and furious lately. But I do miss the days when brands released beautiful Fall makeup collections that were fitting for the season.

Are you ready for Holiday 2019 Makeup Collections or are you really wanting Fall 2019 Makeup Collections first?

Do share!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water Now Contains Rose Water and Other Rosy Skincare Offerings for Fall

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water arrives for Fall 2019 along with a few other new rose water infused products but one wonders do we need to fix in already great thing? I think Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water is a great formula. Even before it even hit the US market I was raving it’s great formula and to this day I still think it’s the best bang for your buck to remove makeup quickly and easily. It’s not something I use daily as I do enjoy my nightly routine and feel like my face is best cleansed when I do a double cleanse but when I’m tired you can be darn sure I’m reaching for my big old bottle of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water!

But of course, like all good things, brands feel the need to go bigger and better. Since it’s launch we’ve been through quite a few varieties. First we had the Garnier Waterproof Cleansing Water which is fab, after that we had Garnier Skinactive Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes so, you travel with your micellar water, and of course, let’s not forget Garnier Skinactive Micellar Eye Makeup Remover Pads!

Oh! And let’s not forget there’s also a mattifying version of micellar water and in the UK there’s a bi-phase oil formula too!

The thing with brands is if they have something good on their hands they run with it. They run hard with it. I guess rose water was the next best thing to go with! Is rose water good for you skin? It’s debatable. Some sources say the fragrance could be an issue for sensitive and others say it’s a great anti-inflammatory ingredient.

As someone who doesn’t have sensitive skin I don’t think I mind the idea of Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water so long as the fragrance is pretty and not cloying! What do you think?

Here’s some other rosy skincare picks from Garnier available for Fall 2019.

Pat Mcgrath Mothership VI Midnight Sun Eyeshadow Palette Brings All That Sultry Purple to Your Fall Makeup Wardrobe

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Oddly enough the Pat Mcgrath Mothership VI Midnight Sun Eyeshadow Palette only contains one single shade of purple but for some reason it just comes across as having several. Am I getting the vibe because of the promos or maybe the packaging? It seems like it’s all about purple!

I do one thing it’s thankfully a Fall friendly palette as all I’m seeing at the moment is Holiday makeup this, that, and the other thing. At $125 it’s not cheap but you can snag it at 10% off with promo code MIDNIGHT10 until 09/11.

It contains 10 shades:

  • Skinshow Moon Glow (Luminous Platinum Peach)
  • Bronze Eclipse (Bronzed Taupe Sheen)
  • Vermillion Venom (Burnished Crimson Matte)
  • Xtreme Dusk (Charcoal Brown Matte)
  • Taboo (Brown Ochre Matte)
  • Wicked Envy (Shimmering Moss Green)
  • Blitz Violet Orchid (Sparkling Periwinkle Violet)
  • Jubilee (Antiqued Glittering Gold)
  • Astral Solstice (Glittering Platinum)
  • Blood Moon 005 (Metallic Copper Rose)

Is it weird I just want it for Skinshow Moon Glow? Like, I’d totally wear that as a highlighter or blush versus an eyeshadow.

I’m feeling the love for this one and might just pick it up! It’s a nice, refreshing take after we’ve been bombarded with so much Holiday Makeup so soon! Come on, let’s get back to Fall makeup!

Pat Mcgrath Mothership VI Midnight Sun Eyeshadow Palette is available now. Is it on your wish list?
