5 stars out of 5

Benefit Moone WANDERful World Silky-Soft Powder Blush is one of twelve newly launched blushes that the brand introduced recently for Summer 2022. As far as I know these are new and permanent and are taking the place of beloved favorites like GALIfornia, Dallas, and others.

It didn’t take long to win me over with these new shades. I purchased all of them and so far I review Terra and Pom Pom and both were absolutely wonderful. I wasn’t sure about Moone as it’s a pretty deep shade but that turned out equally amazing.

Here’s my review, swatches, and thoughts!

Benefit Moone WANDERful World Silky-Soft Powder Blush is available in two sizes. You can snag a 0.28 oz full-size version for $29 or if you’re a bit shy of the shade you can get a mini that’s 0.08 oz in size for $17. I gotta admit some of the shades are a bit terrifying to me which makes having that mini option available quite nice! I thought Terra was pretty loud but Moone is even louder and bolder. I got the mini version to be safe but I think I’d have been just as happy with a larger one as the shade turned out great on me. It’s a beautiful Fall shade and since Fall is right on the horizon you might want to invest in this stunning shade.

I’ve already discussed this in my prior reviews but just for reference, the blush is 0.21 oz in size and $29. It appears smaller in size but it’s actually a bit bigger than past Box o’ Powder Blushes. The old sizes were 0.17 oz and $30. These new blushes do not a mirror tucked inside nor do they have a brush. And the packaging seems smaller and flimsier. The lid is also attached versus the old packaging where the lid was completely removable.

Moone is a very rich, bold, warm berry shade that reminds of Fall. It’s a satin finish without any glow, sparkle, or shimmer. It’s not a flat satin though! It tends to pop on cheeks and creates this gorgeous flush of color that’s very bold and beautiful. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this color but I managed to apply and blend it out to a nice finish that didn’t leave me looking like a clown. That was my main concern when I started swatching the shade! It was so pigmented and bold and knowing how heavy-handed I am I was concerned I’d be walking around with clown cheeks. But I was able to apply it easily without any issue. I did use a dense brush for application and make sure to tap off the access. It’s a little dry when swatching but applies silky and smooth on my cheeks and wears for a solid 10 hours without fading. It’s not dusty nor powdery but picking up color was easy. If you’re prone to redness in your cheeks or even if you’re very fair or paler. This is great for anyone with a warmer undertone or darker. It’s a shade that will show up on a medium or darker skin tone.

Benefit Moone Silky-Soft Powder Blush was another great pick from the WANDERful World Blush Collection. I loved this one and recommend it to anyone with a warmer undertone!
