Is Your Ulta Order Taking Too Long To Ship?

Sometimes in life instead of going forward we end up going backward and so is the case with Ulta shipping. I’m already pretty annoyed at Ulta’s wasteful way of shipping things in multiple shipments. Who remembers when Ulta would take a $100+ order and proceed to ship a medium size box with one sample inside of it? I swear nothing induced more rage in me then that. Thankfully, that stopped! Ulta hasn’t done it in a while! Maybe they heard me ranting about it! But they’ve started doing something even more annoying lately and it’s driving me bonkers. My order arrives in multiple shipments and I get one order really fast and one order really slow (P.S. here’s how to keep track of your packages because a lot of companies are doing the same lately and you can easily forget to check if something arrives if it comes in two or three shipments!).

I used to get super fast shipping from Ulta but things have changed the last few months or so! Sephora’s always had slow shipping but Ulta’s was always super fast for me! Recently, that changed…

I placed an order Saturday during the last day of the Spring Haul Sale. My order updated super fast! Within hours I had two “we shipped your order notifications” in my inbox. Yeah, I was sort of ticked it was coming in two boxes but ok, I’ll deal with it. One of my orders arrives tomorrow and that has two items in it. The other 15 items are arriving May 2nd. WHAT? 12 days to get it? That’s insane to me. Are they sending it via sloth-express? I mean, I’m old enough to remember when shipping used to be crazy slow. But not now! So much has changed and when items are shipped they normally arrived at most within 5 days and at least 2-3 days. But never 12 days.

Yeah, I’m impatient but who isn’t when they order something they want? I do a majority of my shopping online because it’s quick, easy, and I’m a busy person and I’m juggling hundreds of things at once and doing an online order is just easier sometimes. But dude, if I have to start waiting 12 days to get something I may need to start going to a store. Oddly, Ulta shipped the slower items via Lasership which I find quicker than UPS or USPS but I guess not this time.

Has anyone else experienced slower shipments from Ulta lately? Do share!

    Hi Muse, I have experienced the mulitple shipments on several of my Ulta packages. One order had it broken down to 4 shipments which was really annoying and it wasn’t that big an order as well. I typically get my orders within a week

      omg it frustrates me so much! And sometimes I’ll forget about the item and it ends up coming a week later and I’m like crap, how did I forget I didn’t get the complete order?!

    Yes, the last order I placed for Ulta (on Saturday) will not arrive until next week. Looks like it is only one shipment but almost two weeks to receive the order seems excessively slow.

      you and I placed the order the same day! even a week is a lot for Ulta! I used to get them in like 3-4 days! sometimes five during busy seasons like black friday!

    I have placed orders with Ulta and have gotten it within two days. I wonder what changed? Sometimes with shipments with various companies I’ll see an expected delivery date that is long away, but then it will actually arrive much sooner. I have had some issues with Lasership like getting a notification that my package was delivered and it wasn’t and when I looked at the delivery picture it was a totally different house and not even my package. I got it rectified, but still…

      same! Recently, I’d say a little after x-mas the shipping suddenly got super slow! I’ve had the same happen to me once with lasership! They left it on someone’s doormat but who’s doormat remains a mysterious! Wasn’t mine! But aside from the one time wasn’t too bad!

      My Ulta shipments give me an arrival date, then get lost. They never used to buy this has happened twice to me after Christmas. They are on their way then *poof* they magically disappear and are waiting to be picked up by carrier or they say delivered but never are. I usually don’t get pics of delivery because of USPS.

    Yep! Place an order on the 18th and just got shipping notification. And I hate how they package things. I can’t tell you how many times they put it in a mailer instead of a box and the items are broken.

    If they have the items available for in store pickup I always go that route. But many times I have to have what I order shipped. And their shipping is one of the worst.

      Not a fan of how they package stuff either! Thankfully no broken stuff but it’s all just tossed either in a box or a bag with nothing to protect it.

    I ordered one item that came with a free gift on Tuesday. Ulta created the label but the order won’t be here until May 4. 11 days!! I’m so irate. I can get orders from China quicker.

      LOL! omg I feel your pain! I got one of my items yesterday from an order I placed two weeks ago. the other items are in limbo!

    They split mine into three packages. One was just the cheap freebies and the big part of it I am still waiting on. It takes them and the Fed Ex a week and half to get it to me. Buying makeup has lost its excitement for me. My Ulta store never has what I want in stock so there is no work around.

    Right now I am looking at tracking that should have arrived two days ago and they said it would be here today….”out for delivery”…but they changed the date to tomorrow. What the heck??? Buying lipstick has never felt so stressful before. (I want to be home so no one takes it) Our time should be valuable too!
