Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash Has Me Wondering If It Smells Like Strawberries?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash ($33) launched today and I’m just sitting here wondering if it smells like strawberries? Or maybe Strawberry Shortcake? Ahhh Strawberry Shortcake! Who remembers her? A few years ago Cake Beauty did an entire Strawberry Shortcake Collection! Good times. Recently, Jill Stuart launches a strawberry themed collection too with a new Sweety Strawberry Hand Cream and Strawberry Whipped Rouge! Oh and P.S. that Josie Maran Strawberry Daiquiri Set is brilliant!!!!

I think I got off track there for a sec….! I do so love strawberry anything.

Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash is a gently exfoliating face cleanser that cleanses with a blend of white sugar crystals and strawberry and black currant extracts. It contains grape seed oil to helps to hydrate.

I’m actually a really big fan of Skin Food’s Skinfood Black Sugar Strawberry Mask Wash which is $9.20 on sale at Ulta.com so, you might want to check that bad boy out before indulging in Fresh’s version at $33 🙂

Either way Fresh’s formula sounds lovely and I’d love to check it out!

Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash is available now!

Ok, Wait, Is the Beauty Industry Capitalizing on Pride Month?

June is Pride Month a month that commemorates the Stonewall riots that occurred in 1969 but also, a month that the LGBT+ community celebrates their sexuality proudly, loudly, and colorfully. I am forever, always a strong supporter, advocate, and friend to the LGBT+ community. My best friend is gay and he is as close to my heart as any blood relative. I have always found the LGBT+ community welcoming, never judgemental and have always found a home in it even though I am straight.

Now, of course, I have to start a controversial topic of conversation 🙂 I do wonder how everyone feels about all the Pride Makeup Collections as of late? I have had a very strong dislike for the boys in makeup campaigns in the past from a variety of brands just because I felt like brands weren’t actually interested in showcasing men that wear makeup and enjoy it but more about how they could profit over being more edgy in some way. I’m feeling a little bit the same way about the Pride Collections coming out at the moment.

Brooke Shields Owns the Rights To Her Brows or Does She!?

I’ve seen a lot of interesting lawsuits coming and go in the beauty world in my time blogging! Lawsuits between Urban Decay and Victoria’s Secret, lawsuits against Walmart for being racially insensitive by locking up their makeup and beauty products, lawsuits against St Ives for having a facial scrub that’s far to harsh, everyone is suing everyone. I work in insurance and it’s a fairly common joke in my business life that if you live in New York that someone is out their suing someone for some ridiculous thing or another.

The latest beauty lawsuit is the Brook Shields Charlotte Tilbury lawsuit. I actually think it’s a ridiculous lawsuit but who am I to say?

Here’s the thing….

Whenever we think of Brook Shields two things might come to mind! One of which I’m sure are her iconic brows! I mean really? Brook Shields brows are probably more legendary than she is. They should have their own press team. The second thing is likely Blue Lagoon but really, it’s all the brows all the time isn’t it? I’ve never been a fan of strong, bushy brows probably because I struggle with bushy brows myself and I don’t think they are a blessing but more a pain in my a$$ because if I leave them alone they will seriously just grow into one big unibrow. Bushy brows are pretty hip and happening though nowadays and they’ve been making a major come back particularly on the runways.
