Since Summer is here I thought now was a good a time as any to discuss the Parfumerie which can be found on Etsy or if you’re in Connecticut or close to it they have a store at 246 Main St in Danbury, Connecticut.

It’s no great secret I love fragrance. It’s a passion of mind that’s actually bigger than my love of makeup and I have a rather larger collection of scents that rivals my makeup one. Like any fragrance lover, I like my scents to linger and have a good projection which is one reason I love perfume oils. You know from many of my past reviews that I collect, love, and wear oils from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab aka Bpal as well as a variety of other e-tailers that can be found on Etsy and otherwise.

NYX Midnight Chaos is a new sultry, gothy selection of shades that get an early Fall 2018 launch today. I’m noticing a lot of brands seem to be embracing their inner goth for their Fall Collection. Bobbi Brown, Wet n Wild, and now NYX all have some very dark, sultry shades for the season ahead.

The Midnight Chaos Collection contains Dual Ended Eyeliners, a new Midnight Chaos Shadow Palette, and Midnight Chaos Lipgloss.

The collection does remind me of Wet n Wild’s Midnight Mermaid Collection that launched last year.

I admit I have hopes that NYX Glitter Goals Liquid Eyeshadow turn out as great as my beloved Stila Glitter & Glow Eyeshadows. What are the chances? This new formula is available in four shade selections (hopefully more are on the way?) and have a lightweight creamy formula that are loaded with glitter and sparkle that can be used on bare lids or over powder eyeshadows.

Shades include:

• Polished Pin Up (creamy beige sparkle)
• Multiverse (smoky taupe)
• Poppy Fields (reddish cranberry)
• Imaginarium (smoky black)

So far nothing I’ve tried has lived up to Stila’s incredible formula but maybe NYX gets it down right. It’ll be nice to have a cheaper alternative to Stila if these do work out!

Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold Highlighter Palette ($58) gifts you with not one but three shades of the brand’s popular Bar of Gold Light-Reflecting Highlighter that launched back in 2015. This new palette brings together the popular shimmering gold shade along with two brand new shades of Bronze and Pink Champagne.

I was lucky enough to get the Bar of Gold in my Mystery Box which I picked up during the holidays and absolutely loved it. Totally an great highlighter that gives cheeks a dewy wet glow. It’s a powder but the application looks like I applied a highlighter and misted myself with setting mist. It has that wet glow look which somehow works for me!

They actually recommend the palette for your face or your eyes. I typically press a finger into mine and swipe on my lids and it works a treat as a quick color wash!

I didn’t really need this since I already own the gold shade but I’m weak and picked it up anyway as I really want the pink shade!
