Natasha Denona Tropic Eyeshadow Palette Has Me Feeling a Disturbance in the Force

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Natasha Denona Tropic Eyeshadow Palette ($129) is definitely one that is causing cracks in time, disturbances in forces, and heart palpitations. Unlike it’s little, cheaper sister, the $25 Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette, the Tropic Eyeshadow Palette comes at a heftier price tag and contains a wide range of shades that will get you not only a sunset eye look but an entire tropical island one too!

The Natasha Denona Tropic Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition eyeshadow palette that contains 15 tropical shades in a range of matte and metallic finishes that’s available for a limited time and will set you back $129. In a sea of nude eyeshadow palettes it brings a pop of lush pastels combined with gorgeous deeper colorful aquas, greens, blues, pinks, and golds.

Apparently, Natasha has changed the formula which makes this palette a little smaller in size with shadows weighing in at 0.05 oz compared to other palettes in her collection that contain shadows that are 0.08 oz in size. She’s taken to Instagram to address the size issues and says that the weight change is due to new, innovative ingredients. Let’s just hope we all like the new formula at this price!

Shades: Peach Puff, Sangria, Fake Tan, Coco, Sahara, Pastel Melon, Nudist, Vintage Taupe, Gusti, Limoncello, Mint Frost, Exotic, Laguna, Tiger Lily, Zena

As the Tubes sung, “She’s a beauty! She’s one in a million girls!” and I think I want her. Question is can I pull off the pastels?! I imagine so with a pop of some of the brighter shades. Maybe I need to change up the constant nudes I’ve been wearing for a more colorful look this Summer.

Natasha Denona Tropic Eyeshadow Palette is available now at sephora.com.

Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette A Mere $25 Bucks

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The most surprising and nicest thing about the new Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette is the price! As you know Natasha Denona’s Eyeshadow Palettes aren’t exactly affordable but they are raved and hailed all over the Internet and within the makeup world as having a fantastic formula. The only problem is most people aren’t willing to splurge on a $100+ eyeshadow palette. It can be a daunting task when you’re a beauty junkie and you want something, you know the quality is there, but you also like the roof over your head and some food in your stomach. Eh, who am I kidding who needs basic survival needs when we got makeup?

No, but seriously. I am of the mentality I don’t mind paying for something, particularly skincare, when I know it has a great formula that works. The same goes for color cosmetics however, there is some logical side of my mind that says, “You really don’t need to spend that much on an eyeshadow palette!”

The good news? If you’ve always wanted to try Natasha Denona but couldn’t really stomach that price tag or simply couldn’t afford it now you can snatch up this Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette, Although, fair warning it might create a monster once you try her buttery and pigmented eyeshadows and you might find yourself indulging in more palettes but not at the exact same price range thus rendering you broke. I hear eyeshadow tastes mighty fine with a little ketchup! 🙂

This $25 palette contains five shades that in my opinion are colors Natasha Denona is pretty famous for. The selection of colors that will give you that perfect sunset eye loo. The palette contains all brand new shades (although, I have to admit they do look similar to shades in some of her other palettes) which are matte, metallic, and foil in finish.

Shades: Guava (dirty peach matte), Apollo (bright brick metallic), Dirty Mars (dirty terra-cotta matte), Sun Beam (rich bronze metallic), Halo (warm champagne metallic)

Do you need this one?

I’d like to think so!

Too Cool For School Isn’t Too Cool for Ulta

too cool for school pumpkin sleeping mask

Much to my delight Korean beauty brand, Too Cool for School, has made its way to Ulta.com! The brand has made rounds at Nordstrom and Sephora and finally has landed at Ulta which means we’ll be able to take advantage of it at sale prices and coupons.

I have some very fond favorites from the brand like Too Cool For School Egg Mellow Cream. If you have drier skin it’s a treat as an AM moisturizer as it’s quite hydrating but not greasy nor oily and wears well under makeup. You can actually double it up as an eye cream as well if you want.

They aren’t carrying the color cosmetic line thus far but they do have some of the brand’s more popular skincare products. I’m quite happy about Ulta’s well stocked selection of K-Beauty brands lately. They have been carrying Tony Moly for a while now and have added more and more brands like CosRX, Skinfood, Memebox, and many others. It’s nice to have Korean brands so easily accessible here in the US and such a wide variety of them in one location too!

Shop it now at Ulta.com.

Tarte Be a Mermaid & Make Waves Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Tarte Be a Mermaid & Make Waves Eyeshadow Palette ($42) is a new, limited edition eyeshadow palette that launched for Spring 2018 that contains 14 shimmering and matte finish eyeshadows inspired by the mystical mermaid.

This release doesn’t really surprise me in the least as it is yet another “Insta-makeup” launch that Tarte likely hopes to go viral with on Instagram. Hashtag mermaid anything seems to get the most views and likes across social media and of course, unicorns which Tarte has already covered last year with the Make Believe in Yourself Palette launch. It seems logical for them to make the jump from unicorns to mermaids and of course, mermaids have become a major key selling point for them in recent years with many of their products being ocean themed. In fact, mermaids seems like a more fitting mascot for them compared to unicorns.

Anyway, in my opinion the entire Be a Mermaid & Make Waves Eyeshadow Palette is definitely a launch that will rely heavily on creating “waves” on Instagram. But I’m still a beauty blogger and my medium of choice is the written word not a brief blurb on Instagram with a bunch of hashtags. So, this is my review in all its long winded-ness.
