Physicians Formula Charcoal Detox Cleansing Stick ($9.95) is a new pore cleansing stick that contains charcoal to draw out dirt, oil, and impurities. At a glance, this reminded me a lot of Tarte Frxxxtion Stick 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser which I really love. It’s absolutely nothing like that formula though.

Real Techniques InstaPop Cheek Brush ($9.99) is a new blush brush that’s design to give you a pop of intense color on cheeks. Not exactly a great pick for someone like me who tends to apply my blush like I’m a clown. I just have a super heavy-hand with blush and no matter how hard I try I still end up with tons of it on my cheeks. But I think it works for my fuller face or maybe I’m delusional.

Anyway, I’ve been shopping a new blush brush recently because two of my cherished Bobbi Brown Blush Brushes are in really bad shape. And you may be thinking, “Uhhhhh and? Buy a new one!” I can’t! These were gifted to me by a friend in a Holiday Brush Roll Set about eight or so years ago and none of Bobbi’s newest Holiday Sets have ever included the same brush nor does her core collection. It’s a smallish, flat blush brush that works grab at “tapping” color onto my cheeks. I know everyone says apply blush at an angle and higher up on your cheek bones but I’m that person that smiles and applies on the applies of my cheeks and this brush works great for that.

My search led me to Real Techniques InstaPop Cheek Brush after one of my lovely readers raved about it.

Maybelline by FaceStudio Master Prime Hydrate + Smooth Primer ($9.99) is a new hydrating facial primer that launched with the Maybelline Spring 2018 Collection earlier this month. Mayelline already has a few primers in the Face Studio Collection but as an early Spring launch they are going to hydrating route which makes sense as Winter is coming and we can all use a little hydration. There’s some irony in the fact that this is from a Spring Collection yet makes a good pick for Winter. Shrug!
