Sleek Makeup True Colour Lipstick Is Under $8 Bucks and Fabulous!

I just want to break the news to you that Poldark Season 2 will debut in the UK on September 4th and we won’t get it until three weeks later. I’d also like to share with my deepest regrets and sympathies that since we’ll be seeing it in Fall there will be absolutely no shirtless Ross Poldark scenes. It’s a little chilly in Fall to go shirtless.

Sigh.

I’m so sorry.

This is a confirmed truth. Google it.

I would like it to be known that I personally don’t mind hairy chests but not overly hairy chests, the exception would be Aidan Turner’s. Is that over sharing? I never know when I’ve gone too far.

Kleenex Eye Makeup Removers Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Kleenex Eye Makeup Remover Pads

I’ve been using Kleenex Eye Makeup Removers Pads ($4.99/60 pads) to remove my eye makeup since last week. These are a new oil-free pad that’s infused with a pro-vitamin complex that removes mascara, eyeshadow, etc…easily.

Did I ever tell you I’m the frugal gourmet when it comes to eye makeup remover? I love Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover but I cringe at spending $30 for it. “Oh! New $50 Guerlain Lipstick, give me all the shades!” “$30 eye makeup remover? STHU! No way!” I have no idea where my twisted logic comes from. I guess because at least the lipstick will last me a while but I have to replace eye makeup remover quite often and at $30 bucks a bottle that can add up!

So, I’m always looking for cheap eye makeup remover but the universe is out to get me because when I find one I like such as Clean & Clear Eye Makeup Remover and Milani Instant Eye Makeup Remover, it gets discontinued.

Needless to say I’m terribly happy about Kleenex Eye Makeup Removers! Totally cheap, budget friendly, and remove eye makeup pretty easily.

Stila Fall 2016 Has a Soft Launch

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Stila Fall 2016

The Stila Fall 2016 Collection got a soft launch today with new there new Stay All Day Matte’ificent Lipsticks as well as new lip liners and Waterproof Brow Color. But before I delve into the collection I thought I’d discuss soft makeup collection launches with you briefly. Or rather I’ll talk and you listen to me rant…!

Ha!

I notice that more and more brands have early soft seasonal launches lately before doing something major big as the season approaches. For example, Urban Decay tends to like teasing us with new items and proceeds to follow up with some mega palette release later on. Don’t get me wrong, they didn’t slack for Fall 2016 and already introduced the Moondust Eyeshadow Palette as well as their amazing All Nighter Liquid Foundation. But don’t be too surprised to see something new again come September! It’s an interesting and effective marketing technique!

Stila tends to like to soft launch their seasonal collections as well. At the moment they are only promoting their Stay All Day Matte’ificent Lipsticks for Fall 2016 and I don’t doubt we’ll see some sort of great palette upcoming in their Fall future!

Becca Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duo Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Becca Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duo2

Late last month the new Becca Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duo ($38) launched in four gorgeous shades. These new Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duos are part of the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection that arrived earlier this Summer. I actually purchased the stunning Champagne Face Palette when it originally launched but it sold out too quickly for me to serve up a review so, it’s now in my makeup vault. Sometimes I take it out to tell it how pretty it is.

No seriously though, I packed that palette with me when I went on vacation and used it daily! Which surprised me as I did have an inkling to hide it away and never use it again because it was too beautiful. I admit I felt the same way Becca Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duos. They really evoke a need to stash them away all Gollum-like! My precious!

These come packaged in Becca’s customary packaging which to me resembles a chic hub cap. But instead of the brown and silver they typically use for their compacts, these duos come in a gorgeous gold compact with silver accents and a generously sized mirror located inside. Each pan is 0.28 oz in size and split down the middle with a Shimmering Skin Perfector on one side and a matte Mineral Blush on the other side. Shimmering Skin Perfector is 0.28 and $38 so, this is a great value as it’s like buying a Shimmering Skin Perfector and getting a blush for free.

Equate Wipe the Day Away Cleansing Balm A Hot Mess of a Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Equate Wipe the Day Away

I was terribly excited to get my hands on the new Equate Wipe the Day Away Cleansing Balm which is currently being compared to Clinique Take the Day Off. Equate Beauty’s Wipe the Day Away Cleansing Balm is the same size but a lot cheaper at $12.79 compared to $29 dollars for Clinique’s. I love a great deal so, when I was at the evil empire recently (Walmart) I picked up a jar.

Technically, I was about to pick up two jars but some hidden force told me not too. Thank god, I didn’t because this stuff is a hot mess.

Cleansing Balms are becoming increasingly popular here in the US and if you’re not interested in splurging on Clinique’s formula that’s quite alright as there are a few alternatives that are cheaper such as the new E.L.F. Hydrating Melt Cleanser as well as Yes to Coconuts Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser. Believe me, those two are far superior budget options compared to the Equate formula.
