It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment

The new It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment will be available later this month on QVC.com but until that time I thought I’d give you an early look at it.

If you recall, in 2013, It Cosmetics launched the Hello Beautiful Anti-Aging 5 Piece Color Collection and this included the brand new It Cosmetics Vitality Flush Color Stain Stick in the shade Je Ne Sais Quoi. That Color Stain Stick (it’s now available in two shades) and shade has since become permanent.

Je Ne Sais Quoi is one of It Cosmetics’ most popular shades of natural pink and it appears across the board in a variety of products from the brand for both lips and cheeks. I personally love it and I think many It Girls and Guys would be in agreement with me.

The Color Stain Stick is formulated to be used on both cheeks and lips so, one might wonder if you need the It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment. Apparently this is more of a lip butter treatment of sorts formulated with essential butters and oils that softens and hydrates while giving lips a perfect pink color.

I think when people hear “perfect pink” or “your perfect custom shade of pink” they mentally cringe. This is because in most cases, color changing lipsticks, lip balms, and glosses almost always turn bubblegum pink and it isn’t always a flattering shade of pink.

I think you might be a bit happy that It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment doesn’t turn into a Barbie shade of pink. But I also think you might be disappointed to also learn that it is quite sheer.

Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Skin-Transforming Powder Review & Swatches

Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Skin-Transforming Powder1

I picked up Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Skin-Transforming Powder is part of the new Maybelline Summer 2016 and I purchased it on a whim two weeks ago when I was at the Evil Empire (aka Walmart). It’s not really a powder formulated for my particular skin type but when you blog beauty you have this urge to try everything and report back to the world what how you felt about it.

Also, it comes in a rather cool compact. At first, I was pissed off because the label isn’t printed on and it peeled right off. But soon after, I was all, “Hey! Maybelline can go all Too Faced Totally Cute Palette and create stickers to decorate this palette with!” It’s actually pretty cool you can peel the label right off. I wonder if Maybelline did this intentionally? Once you peel it off you’ve left with a simple yet chic white compact. It’s up to you if you want to keep it white or decorate it some other way.

Yeah, I dunno why, but this thrilled me. It’s the little things, people!

Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser Is Anything But Bland

Lush Ultrabland

Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser ($29.95) is one of those cleansers that might remind you of your grandmother’s cold cream days. I’ve been using Ultrabland on and off for over ten years now. I used to be a major Lush Baby Face fan girl until it was discontinued. Ultrabland is the same idea just in a different format but it never quite caught on with me until I realized how good it was for my drier skin.

I actually always keep it stashed around and I use it on and off to remove my makeup. It’s one of those cleansers that’s great if you embrace the Korean double cleansing method. It’s also fabulous for drier skin types.

Here’s a look!

Pixi Lash Nourish Makeup Remover Pads Are Small In Size But Big on Removal!

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Pixi Lash Nourish Makeup Remover Pads

Pixi Lash Nourish Makeup Remover Pads ($10) launched with the Pixi Summer 2016 Collection and yet another fine addition to Pixi’s Skincare Collection. I’m always looking for budget friendly eye makeup removers. I adore Lancome Bi-Facil as much as the next girl but I hate paying $30 bucks for it. I know, I’ll spend $50 on lipstick but I carry on kicking and screaming about paying higher than $15 for eye makeup remover.

I have no idea where that mentality comes from.

But anyway, Pixi Lash Nourish Makeup Remover Pads are a mere $10 bucks and include 80 pads. Slight problem though, they are kind of small.
