New! Julep Bare Face Cleansing Balm Stick

Julep Bare Face Cleansing Balm Stick

Stick cleansers have arrived! I never thought I’d say that. Julep Bare Face Cleansing Balm Stick is a new (and exciting?!) way to clean your face. Julep’s cleansing stick removes dirt, oil, and other impurities while gently exfoliating your face with a formula that contains rose hip seed oil, rice bran oil, grapefruit peel oil, camellia japonica seed oil, and pomegranate fruit enzyme.

Simply wet your hands, swipe the stick across a few times, and massage over your face!

Interesting right?

Aside from curiosity I’m not really sure how to feel about a cleansing stick! Although the idea isn’t necessarily new since we were recently introduced to Boscia Charcoal Deep-Pore Cleansing Stick Treatment.

I find myself mentally curling my nose up because it feels somehow messy to use a stick to cleanse your face. It also seems like a breeding ground for bacteria. But hey, I’m still sitting here being all curious about a stick cleanser.

What do you think?

The Julep Bare Face Cleansing Balm Stick is packed up with a Kaolin Clay Konjac Sponge for $32 on qvc.com.

Lush Skin’s Shangri La for the Dry Skin Ladies and Lads

Lush Skin's Shangri La 2

I used to be a hardcore Lush skin care fan girl. I admit I’ve cheated a lot in recent years. But I always come back to my favorites and one of those favs is most definitely Lush Skin’s Shangri La Moisturizer which appeared in on my Best of Lush list from way back in 2010.

It’s a funny thing as I recall when Lush Skin’s Shangri La was $29.95 but it is now $50 bucks. But the formula still remains great so I continue to buy it! Although meant for mature skin I’ve always found it the perfect formulation for my dry, tired skin.

Pixi Invisible Smudge-Stopper Lip Contour Liner for Road Tripping Lipsticks

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Pixi Invisible Smudge-Stopper Lip Contour Liner

Whenever I wear red lipstick it pretty much takes a road trip around my face. I’ve seriously discovered red lipstick not only in the usual suspect places like my upper lip line but also on weird places like my forehead, my cheek, and my chin. I dunno how this happens but red lipstick does so like to take a road trip around my face when I wear it.

The worst part is that sometimes no one tells me that I have red lipstick smeared on my forehead so I’m waiting around like that all damn day! I’d ever so appreciate it if you saw me on the street and I had lipstick anywhere on my face aside from my lips please stop me and tell me? Thanks!

In cases like this you need a little handy tool like Pixi Invisible Smudge-Stopper Lip Contour Liner.

Lancome Hydra Zen Beauty Essence, Heavy on Fragrance and Light On Moisture

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Lancome Hydra Zen Beauty Essence

Lancome Hydra Zen Beauty Essence ($49) is a gel-like essence that promises to provide intense hydration to skin while visibly fighting the sighs of stress. See? The name says it all! It gets you to your peaceful, beauty zen place.

I need more than an essence to relax in all honesty but I’m willing to give this a try! With the increasing popular of essence here in the US many brands have been adding essence like lotions and toners to their skincare line up. I don’t think the routine has quite caught on here in the US but I do think curiosity is starting to brew about possibly adding an essence to your skin care routine. Believe me, it’s quite a beneficial addition especially if you have drier skin as essence does help moisturizer to absorb more easily while providing plenty of hydration all its own as well.

Now, Lancome Hydra Zen Beauty Essence is a little heavier on the fragrance and light on the moisture aspect but it is a good starting point for essence beginners.

More Lip Oil Trending Coming Atcha Today and Some Outlander Too!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

barry m lip oil

We’re starting to see a lot of lip oils lately some of which are the new Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil and Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment. And if you’re in the UK you’re privy to Barry M Lip Oil.

It’s ok, it’s easy enough to purchase from ASOS.com for those of us not across the pond.

Barry M Lip Oil ($7) is a sheer lip oil available in two flavor selections of Berry Good and Coco Loco that provide high shine and plenty of moisture to lips.

Sound good!

I’m curious what other brands will launch lip oils this Summer.

claire outlander

P.S. I binged the first four episodes of Outlander late last night! I was too busy to watch so I ended up with four backed up episodes and I finally sat down around 9 last night to play catch up. Um, hello? Claire you’re kinda drinking excessively for someone who is preggers! I feel like every time I see her she’s downing whiskey, sherry, or some other cocktail.

Shifty eyes!

Pace yourself, girl! I keep thinking of Will Ferrel’s The Landlady, “Get my drink on!”

On that note, I will say your dresses are too fabulous for words.
