Ulta Dupes Chosungah 22

Ulta Gel Bounce Eyeshadow Palette

Remember the Chosungah 22 Dong Gong Minn Jello Color Eyeshadow Palette ($39)? Well, the new Ulta Gel Bounce Eyeshadow Palette might just prove a dupe for that formula!

Chosungah 22 is a Korean brand that recently launched at Sephora and the Dong Gong Minn Jello Color Eyeshadow Palette was one of there interesting. And one of there more disappointing ones according to reviews. The palette contains six eyeshadow shade that have a bouncy cushion, jelly texture (aka a vamped up cream eyeshadow).

Ulta jumps on board with this one as their new Gel Bounce Eyeshadow Palette ($18) contains five shade which also happen to have that unique bouncy jelly texture in a variety of mattes and shimmer finishes just the Chosungah 22 one! Considering Ulta makeup constantly goes on sale, this might be a cool sale grab.

I’m constantly delighted how much Asian makeup is influencing makeup here in the US. There are plenty of new cushion foundations, cushion blushes, as well as skincare picks like essence that US brands are introducing daily to keep up with Asian’s every growing and every changing beauty market. I don’t think we’ll ever quite reach the point of innovation that Japan and Korea are at but I still enjoy seeing the trends that are current in Asia reaching the US market so rapidly versus years later.

I also adore that many of my favorite brands such as Tony Moly and even Skin Food are available at stores like Ulta and Sephora!

What do you think of the Asian makeup and beauty trends that are currently influencing our market?

The Ulta Gel Bounce Eyeshadow Palette are available now at Ulta.com.

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick ($4) is a new chubby concealer stick that launched in 4 shade selections late last month. I don’t know why I keep buying E.L.F. concealers and continue trying to use them under my eyes. I seriously have to have my head examined. A majority of their concealer formulas might just perform fabulously on skin but under eyes? Too dry!

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick might be a great pick if you’re looking to contour and brighten or perhaps conceal minor blemishes but if you’re planning on using it under your eyes, don’t bother.

Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy 3

The limited edition Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy ($4.99) arrived at Walgreens this month! Keep your eyes peeled if you’re a fond fan of Vaseline Lip Therapy as this new flavor will only be around for a limited time.

Originally introduced in the UK and available exclusively at Selfridges, Vaseline Pink Bubbly quickly gained a cult following. I know myself and many fans of the original Vaseline Rosy Lips formula were terribly excited about the launch of Pink Bubbly and terribly sad it was in the UK only. I’m very happy to report it’s launch here in the US now!

Bath & Body Works Black Cherry Merlot Does Smell Like the Hand Soap

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

black cherry merlot candle

Talk on the Bath & Body Works front recently is that the newly formulated Bath & Body Works Black Cherry Merlot does in fact smell like the hand soap. Slay me, I die. Honestly, I’m all for Bath & Body Works releasing more candles that smell like their hand soaps! Yes, please!

Black Cherry Merlot was released last year in the Cork and Vine Candle Collection and there was much excitement and buzz surrounding it because so many people love the hand soap version. For me the hand soap smells like kindergarten! Seriously, one of my first memories of going to school was the cookies and fruit juice they used to give us and if nothing at that’s exactly what the hand soap smells like. Oh, not the cookie part, the juice part! It’s beyond sweet with a mix of delicious cherries and other fruit notes.

Now, the candle was a crushingly disappointing! It smelled nothing like the hand soap! Le sigh!
