Almay Age Essentials Collection for Summer 2016

Almay Age Essentials

Almay Age Essentials Concealer, Almay Age Essentials Lip Treatment, and Almay Age Essentials Foundation are launching now for Summer 2016 at drugstores as part of a new Almay Age Essentials Collection.

People, I’ve been noticing my lips have not only been dry lately but kind of old looking too! Yeah, not sure what’s going on there! Hopefully just dryness! The Age Essentials Lip Treatment, of course, came home with me because it contains an SPF 30 plus it promises to hydrate my tired lips and reduce the appearance of fine lines! Dunno, if it’ll help but here’s hoping! I’ve been using it for the past week so I should have a review shortly on it!

And you may have guessed it already, I did indeed grab up the concealer too! It’s a stick concealer and for some reason it reminds me of Covergirl + Olay Concealer Balm that released in Summer 2014. It’s available in four shades.

I didn’t pick up the new foundation as the shades looked pretty dark! Apparently this is a moisturizing anti-aging makeup with an SPF 15. I’m not sure about the anti-aging ingredients but it may prove a good pick for those of us with drier skin!

Anything you see from the new Almay Age Essentials Collection worth picking up?

The collection is launching now in stores!

Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Contouring and Highlighting Duo for Summer 2016

Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Contouring and Highlighting Duo

Well, you knew it was only a matter time before the contouring trend hit the drugstore! Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Contouring and Highlighting Duo for Summer 2016 have arrived just in time to embrace the never dying out trend of contouring and highlighting yourself to perfection.

This new duo contains the Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Stick in Fair, Light, Light/Medium, Medium, Medium/Deep, or Deep paired up with a matching Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick (the highlighters appear to be either a champagne pink shade, a champagne gold, or a brassy bronze gold) that when used together can sculpt, define, and highlight your face easily.

The duo set is $16.99 at Harmons and Bed, Bath, and Beyond but I imagine once it hits mass drugstores it’ll likely be around $17-$18.99.

It’s an interesting concept that should go over well with those who are embracing the contouring trend at the moment. I really liked the Insta-Fix when it launched 2 years ago so I’m wondering if the formula is the same or perhaps a bit creamier for contouring work!

The Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Contouring and Highlighting Duo is popping up now at drugstores.

What do you think of the duo?

Picking it up?

Mmm Revlon Eyes, Cheeks, + Lips Palette Not As Bad As I Thought?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Revlon Eyes, Cheeks, + Lips Palette

Ok, so yeah, I was tempted to purchase one of the Revlon Eyes, Cheeks, + Lips Palette but I didn’t. Maybe they aren’t as bad as I thought originally though. I had the feels upon seeing the warm selection of the Romantic Nudes Palette.

I was seriously very close to purchasing it but still felt the $13.49 price tag a tad too high especially after experiencing the horror show that was Revlon Not So Nudes Eyeshadow Palette. But hey, $13 bucks is a lot better than Ulta’s new $20 price tag.

These include six eyeshadows, one blush, and four lipsticks. Like many of you I groaned at the site of the blush smack in the middle of the cream lipsticks with the eyeshadows above them. That’s going to be a mighty fine mess!

Don’t worry, I saw them and I thought to myself, “Hmmm not as bad as I thought!” but I quickly regained my senses and just said NO! They might be good but I’m not placing any bets on that! I’m going to play it safe and I’ll wait for reviews.

Tried ’em?

Do share!

New Revlon Colorstay Long Wear Liquid Eyeliners for Summer 2016

Revlon Colorstay Ball Point Liquid Eye Pen

Revlon has a round of new Colorstay Liquid Eye Pens launching for Summer 2016. They are repromoting their classic Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner in this collection along with two new version one of which has a triple edge point for more dramatic looks and the other is a ball point which has a tiny ball point to dot and fill for easy lining.

I think the Revlon Colorstay Ball Point Liquid Eye Pen is probably the most interesting liner in this collection. It kind of reminds me the Too Faced 3 Way Lash Lining Tool and Clarins 3-Dot Liner which launched back in 2012. These made using liquid liner very easy for those of us that a bit klutzy with liquid eyeliners or for beginners.

After all these years, I still haven’t masted liquid eyeliner! I’m good with gel but notice I never wear it anywhere but on my waterline in my of my photos because I always feel too made up if I use eyeshadow and eyeliner. It’s like drag queen mode activated when I try. Typically, if I’m going to use black gel eyeliner on my upper lash line I avoid using eyeshadow and go pretty bare on my lid.

I imagine there’s some madness to my methods.

By the way, I’ll leave this right here to keep your Monday upbeat!
