Bite Beauty Is Going Out of Business But the Lip Lab Remains

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Bite Beauty is sadly going out of business. Yup, the show is sadly over for Bite Beauty as they live the makeup word. Bite Beauty took to Instagram to share the news they’d be going out of business BUT their Lip Laps would remain opening with new locations coming soon!

Bite Beauty hasn’t shared if their closing due to the pandemic but really, it’s been a while since they really had any major releases. I kept waiting for them to revamp their lipstick collection but instead, they released a mediocre makeup collection. It seems like they were already on their way to pre-pandemic.

This isn’t the first nor the last makeup brand causality as Bite Beauty joins Becca, Clarisonic, Makeup Geek, Coastal Scents, and others.

I’m sad to see Bite Beauty go. They had a good, solid lipstick.

If you want to stock up on your favorites Bite Beauty is 40-50% off at Sephora and Bite Beauty’s website. Many of the Bite Beauty Power Move Hydrating Soft Matte Lipsticks have been restocked at sephora.com!

CoverGirl Simply Ageless Triple Action Concealer Is $17.49 at Ulta

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Great Scott! CoverGirl Simply Ageless Triple Action Concealer is $17.49 which I’d say makes it the highest-priced concealer at the drugstore currently! But have no fear, this is ulta.com’s price as everywhere else this runs around $11-$12. But even that price is rather obscene! Ouch!

Ummm…can you guys please take a second and remind me if there is or isn’t a Covergirl Simply Ageless Concealer that looks just like this one on the market already. Am I nuts? Or does it look mighty familiar?

Shrug! Maybe I’m wrong! Seems like Simply Ageless Triple Action Concealer big feature is the cooling ceramic wand that you can apply the concealer with. If the applicator gave you a little deja vu that would be because Dominique Cosmetics just launched Wide Awake Full Coverage Concealer which has a similar one.

Covergirl’s formula provides lightweight medium to full coverage with a formula that contains a Hyaluronic Complex, Vitamin C, and Niacinamide which act to hydrate the eye area as it brightens dark circles. Count me curious as I’m about brightening, hydrating concealers! But at this price, it better do all that and more….! I suppose we shouldn’t be too shocked considering anything and everything is incredibly expensive at the moment.

CoverGirl Simply Ageless Triple Action Concealer is available in ten shades.

Will you try it?

I’m Tired of Jennifer Grey Let’s Move On Now

So, yeah, this is a snarky post. Let me set this scene up for you before I dive into the snark.

I have a Yahoo E-mail account that’s 21 years old. Yup, 21 years. Anyway, I use that e-mail quite often and typically I’m checking it via desktop which means I pop yahoo.com into my url box and it whisks me away to Yahoo’s front page where I can click to access and check my email.

This typically means I’m exposed to the many, many, many clickbait articles featured on Yahoo’s front page and I hate to say this but they tend to enrage me. I’ve had to literally restrain myself lately as I’ve wanted to take my computer and toss it out the window every time I see a Jennifer Grey article promoted.

“Jennifer Grey explains how she lost her identity after having surgery on her nose!”

“Jennifer Grey says her mother told her to get a nose job!”

“Jennifer Grey says she and Patrick Swayze never got along!”

“Jennifer Grey was engaged to Matthew Broderick and Johnny Depp at the same time!”

“Jennifer Grey reported being forced to carry heavy watermelon on set”

So, Jennifer Grey has a book out at the moment and whoever her PR Team is they rock because she is literally featured on every online publication known to man.

I’ll be the one to say it. It’s annoying.

This Package Is Addressed To Me But The Contents Aren’t Mine!

What to do with a package that isn’t yours but has your address? I’ve recently had two packages that were addressed to me arrive at my home but the contents and the invoice inside were addressed to someone else.

The first time it happened with Sephora which was about a year or so ago and more recently it happened with a MAC Cosmetics I ordered about two and a half weeks ago. The address label shows my name and my address but the contents inside weren’t mine. I had ordered a few eyeliners from MAC during a sale and what I got was a powder, two concealers, and two brow pencils. I contacted them via text (Customer service texting is brilliant! Bobbi Brown and a few other Estee Lauder brands do this now!) and they replied immediately asked about my issued, apologized, and said they’d get my order out immediately. I asked about sending the items that weren’t mine back but they said it was fine I could keep them or gift them.

This was all nice and great but I was a little concerned that someone had my order information. I’m not sure how I feel about that. It’s likely harmless enough but I don’t entirely love the idea of my order number, name, address, and phone number out there. I immediately shredded the invoice my order came with which has me hoping whoever got mine did the same.

My MAC experience was pleasant enough but my Sephora one was not and I was reminded why when someone did a Tiktok recently saying she had placed a $942 order and only got an order that was $44 worth of product. The same weird thing happened to her where the package was addressed to her but the contents and invoice inside were not her own.

Greetings From Paris

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Good Morning friends!

I’m away this week but I’ll be back soon! It’s our first trip to Europe since the Pandemic started and it feels like there wasn’t one at all here in Paris. We’ll be in Paris for half of this week and in London for the remaining time. We were incredibly blessed and lucky to leave very early AM on a charter to France this past Friday and we’ll take the Eurostar to London later this week and home by the end of the weekend on a commercial flight. I’m incredibly jetlagged but our first weekend here has been magical. But that’s to be expected when staying in Paris right?

I got to see my beloved friend and adopted “baby sister”, Leeza and when I get to London I’ll see my other dearest friend Libby! I haven’t seen either of them in three years! It’s rather sad how quickly time goes by without seeing those dearest to your heart outside of Facetime.

I’ve been to not 1 not 2 not even 3 but 5 different pharmacies so far. My skincare haul will probably be bigger than my fragrance one at this point. I met a beautiful, chic French woman outside the Louvre who told me my skin was so bright and beautiful! I felt terribly flattered by this as my makeup consisted of cheek stain and nothing else! We swapped skincare routines and she said I absolutely had to try La Roche-Posay Anti-Aging 10% Pure Vitamin C Serum which I immediately purchased a few hours later. Why I never tried it when it’s so easily available in the US is beyond me but it took a stranger to convince me it was a must-have. You know I’ll come home with plenty of goodies to review. I also brought two new purses! I needed another two purses like I needed a hole in the head but when in Paris right?

I wish you well this week ahead. I wish you all the energy you’ll need to get your work done this week. If you’re on a bit of a Spring break like us I hope you’ll have the best time whether it’s a stay-at-home vacation or off to some exotic island or country!

I’ll be back with new posts when I return. If I return! I may just convince my boyfriend that we need to stay here forever and live off Pain Au Chocolate while buying tons of skincare every day. It wouldn’t be a bad life, would it?

Take care of yourself and those you love. Be the good humans I know you are.

I’ll miss you all while I’m away!
