4 stars out of 5

Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm Sunset Beauty Light Wand is a new shade added to the permanent line of Beauty Light Wand shades for Summer 2023. This new shade is exclusively available on Charlotte’s website but I imagine at some point it’ll be picked up by other retailers like Sephora. The promo images were a strong selling point for me on this shade. I already own a few Beauty Light Wands and really like them but the formula wasn’t even something I was considering when I purchased this. It was all about the gorgeous marketing and how the shade was portrayed as this gorgeous sunkissed rose.

I’m here to say those promo images lie. Haha…! Ok, hear me out. The shade is gorgeous BUT it isn’t a pink rose as described nor does it look anything at all on me the way it appears on Charlotte’s models. This shade is very, very coppery. I’d dare call it a warm coppery rose (heavy on the copper). Was I disappointed? Big time. I really wanted it to look as pretty as it did on the models. They had this pretty, out in the sun rosy glow in the videos and promotional material. I was unable to achieve that with the shade. It’s still nice but I can’t lie to you and say I wasn’t a smidge disappointed that the shade wasn’t as pretty as portrayed in those images. I’m actually somewhat surprised it hasn’t sold out. For a while, the Beauty Light Wands were viral across Tiktok and they simply couldn’t keep them in stock! But this is still very much available for purchase.

Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm Sunset Beauty Light Wand is 0.33 oz for $42. It comes in a squeeze tube with an attached sponge applicator. You twist the tube to unlock it, squeeze, dot, and blend out. Very easy and mess-free. Be sure to twist the tube and lock it when you’re done. I heard some complaints that the tube felt empty and that’s true, it does. But it’s only because the product settles to the bottom of the tube during shipment. It’s very expensive and most people are toting the new E.L.F. Halo Glow Blush Beauty Wands as an exact dupe of Charlotte’s formula and how they can’t even tell the difference between the two. That’s incorrect in my opinion. I’ve tried both and Charlotte’s have way more of a glow to them and are very pigmented compared to E.L.F.’s formula. A very little goes a long way when applying the Beauty Light Wands where as with the Halo Glow Blush Beauty Wands I definitely felt inclined to add more product to get the best color pay off. Yes, Charlotte’s version is considerably more expensive but her version does have a better formula, pigment, and packaging.

As I said above the shade isn’t quite what I thought it would be but it’s still very, very pretty none the less. It should look great on a wide variety of skin tones and gives a beautiful almost metallic sheen and glow to my cheeks. I applied one dot (which was already way too much) on each of my cheeks and blended to get the color you see below. This shade is very pigmented (I’d go so far as to say it’s the most pigment of the shades I own) and blended easily. It has a light creamy gel-like consistency and contains no fragrance. Once applied it sets to a beautiful lasting sheen. The color and the radiant finish lasted for hours on me. I wore it throughout the Memorial Day Weekend and once in the heat while at an outdoor concert to see Matisyahu and it wore extremely well without fading.

I have to admit I love these for the sole reason it makes highlighter and blush applicator a one step process. I find applying highlighter a little challenging. Getting it in just the right spot, blending it out so it isn’t powdery or too shimmery, and just having it look natural and not major made up is a process. I always look for the perfect hybrid blushes that act as both a highlighter and a blush and that’s exactly what Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands excel at. You get the beautiful color of a blush as well as the stunning radiance of a highlighter all in one swipe, blend, and go applicator. It’s a no brainer process to apply this!

I admit I was petty and removed 1 star from my rating because I was crushed the color wasn’t exactly what I thought it was going to be but outside of that the Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm Sunset Beauty Light Wand is still gorgeous. The formula, the application, and the shade all get a go from me.

Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm Sunset Beauty Light Wand is available now. Did you grab the shade?

Where to buy

Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm Sunset Beauty Light Wand is a new Summer 2023 shade that launched with the Charlotte Tilbury Summer 2023 Collection. This shade is described as a rose pink but its more a coppery rose (heavy on the copper). It might not if you apply it very buffed out. You’d be surprised how good shades like this look on fair skin! Fav shade is def is the original Peachgasm! I really like pillow talk too but it doesn’t work well as a blush for me, more a highlighter!

Great review thank you! While this is still pretty, it’s a touch too coppery for me. I do chance her products if i really want it. Knowing it might not be quite the exact color in her photos. Nice to rule this out, i was waaay off. I do love this formula.

You look absolutely gorgeous BTW what are you wearing on your eyes?
