5 stars out of 5

Too Faced Throwback Lipstick ($22) in Too Too Hot is one of ten limited edition lipsticks that launched to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the brand. Each of the ten shades is inspired by the original eight shades that Too Faced first started the brand with but with a re-imagined take on the color and formula.

Each shade contains avocado oil to give it a creamy, hydrating feel as well as multi-reflective glitter for a super sparkly look which of course is what attracted me to the collection to begin with. Because of course, who doesn’t love a good sparkle shade?

I picked up Too Too Hot because I’m thinking far into the future to Christmas and this was a stunning red that seems like it would look great for the Holidays!

Milani Soft & Sultry Eyeshadow Palette Review and swatches

Milani Soft & Sultry Eyeshadow Palette ($20) is a new 12-pan eyeshadow that the brand released as an early Fall 2018 launch. This it the third of four palettes (five if you count the fairly recent Gilded Desires Eye & Face Palette) that Milani recently launched. Somehow, someway Milani has decided that their calling is to launch really incredible eyeshadows palettes and I’m not complaining in the least.

The Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette one of the first releases in this new larger eyeshadow palette trend for the brand and one of the first ones I tried. I proceeded to whine a good deal about the fact it cost me $20. When all is said and done I’m not really keen on paying $20 for a drugstore eyeshadow palette but I did and after trying it I don’t regret the purchase at all. It was money very, very well spent. The formula was outstanding and I had the feel and look of a mid-range eyeshadow palette. I mean I spent $59 on the Too Faced Then & Then Eyeshadow Palette which contains more shades and is a way larger palette but in the end I’m happier with the formula, texture, and pigment from Milani than I was from Too Faced. I could get three Milani Palettes which would leave me with 36 buttery eyeshadow shades in comparison to the 20 mediocre ones I got from Too Faced.

It’s pretty ironic that drugstore makeup is packed quality where as mid-range brands purchased at Sephora or on counter are becoming worst and worst.

None the less let’s talk about the Milani Soft & Sultry Eyeshadow Palette!

Wet n Wild Zodiac Color Icon Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
4 stars out of 5

Wet n Wild Zodiac Color Icon Eyeshadow ($4.69) in Fire is one of four limited edition eyeshadows that Wet n Wild released with their Zodiac Makeup Collection exclusively at Walmart. I picked up Fire and Earth which I recently reviewed! If you haven’t already do take a look at that review as I had some fun creating the look for that post.

I ended up ordering my some of the collection from Wet n Wild’s website as I have yet to see any of this collection at Walmart (although it is available at walmart.com). This is an opening for me to rant about the fact that exclusive drugstore collections suck. I feel like I’m running all over the damn place to locate these collections lately. The new Fire Dragon vs Ice Dragon is apparently exclusive to Walgreens and Ulta but I located at Harmons which leads me to believe at some point the Zodiac Collection will have a wider launch as well but as of now you have to haul ass to Walmart to get it. When did makeup become so damn complicated?
