Flower Beauty Warrior Glitter Shadow ($10.99) is yet another sparkling cream eyeshadow we’re seeing for the Fall 2018 season. As per my earlier post on the new MAC Dazzleshadow Liquid, I think that we’re going to see more and more Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow-like formula for the season ahead. It seems like sparkly metallic eyes are going to be a huge trend this year! And I’m quite alright with that considering I love a good sparkly eye look!

Flower Beauty Warrior Glitter Shadow is available in six shade selections and promise an intense color pay off loaded with sparkly glitter bits! I’m loving the green and the purple and if that’s a taupe I’ll take that too!

I’m quite happy to see this trend catching on as I’m a huge fan of Stila’s formula!

The Charlotte Tilbury Mystery Box has landed for Summer 2018! I got the Holiday Mystery Box and I was very, very pleased with the contents!

Sephora Beauty Insider updates and cash rewards (or at least gift card rewards but hey, I’ll take it) are coming for 2018-2019 with new rewards and benefits! To kick things off Sephora is having a Beauty Insider Appreciation Event later this month that gets 20% off for Rouge Members, 15% for VIBs, and 10% for BIs but wait, there’s more!

Here’s some of the updates happening with more on the way for 2019!

New Points System
VIB and Rouge now earn points faster now with VIB members earning 1.25 points for every $1 spent and Rouge members earn 1.5 points for every dollar spent. (Insider members continue to earn 1 point for every dollar spent.)

Gifts and Rewards

• VIB and Rouge can now choose between a birthday gift or get 250 bonus points
• VIB and Rouge members will be able to choose from Full-Size Rewards (Unfortunately available in the Rewards Bazaar)

Gift Card Rewards
Rouge Members can redeem 2,500 points for $100 Gift Cards

I love that they are updating their rewards but Ulta does still have advantages over Sephora. For example, the virtual gift card still comes with a stipulation that it will be available on Rewards Bazaar Days Only (Tuesday and Thursday) and in limited quantities. That means it’s a catch 22 if you’ll get one or not since they’ll likely sell out fast. This is a permanent feature now in the Rewards Bazaar which means if they do sell out you can still try again next week but still annoying there aren’t unlimited quantities that are redeemable for points at any time you want! You also need to redeem the amount in total so you can’t carry any balance on the virtual gift card they give you which means any remaining amount will not be reimbursed. It also expires in 90 days once they send it to you via e-mail.

New Beauty Insider Profile
Starting on August 14th there will be a new version of your Beauty Insider profile that will be your destination for everything Beauty Insider related where you can view your year-to-date activity and your current points balance, redeem rewards and gifts and learn about your Beauty Insider benefits.

All I can say is they are trying! It’s not the best of updates but it’s progress!

I guess Sephora is finally listening to us as they only typically offer 20% off for the Holidays only! They are also updating their rewards in 2019! Exciting changes are coming though and I couldn’t be happier about it as Ulta has been really getting a lot of our business because of their great rewards and it looks like Sephora is finally realizing they have to start offering the same incentives to keep their members happy and buying!

When does the sale happen? What times does it start?
The sale starts on August 24th for Rouge Members and ends on September 3rd. The promo code will likely go live at 12AM EST or 3AM EST but Sephora has confirmed the exact time. For both VIB and BI Members the sale starts on the August 30th and ends on September 3rd. This is both in store and online for all three members.

Is it only in store? What about Sephora at JCPenny?

I always like to fill my cart the night before with what I want as I don’t feel rushed this way and I can take time shopping slowly and make proper choices and not spur of the moment ones. Sadly, the promo code is one use online but in stores you can use it as many times as you like. The only exclusion is the Dyson Hair Dryer but all other brands both mid and high-end are up for grabs.

MAC Dazzleshadow Liquid launched this week and for me it’s totally paving the path for many, many more shimmery liquid eyeshadows to come atcha this Fall and into the Holiday 2018 season. Our beloved Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow have had their time in the sun long enough! It’s time for brands to finally start getting on board with the sparkly liquid shadow trend and I couldn’t be happier for it as a fan of Stila’s formula.

I was playing and swatching with Pixi’s new Liquid Fairy Lights and that’s another liquid eyeshadow to keep your eyes on! They are laced with gorgeous glitter! I haven’t tried them on my eyes yet but the swatches alone had me swooning! NYX also has new Glitter Goals Liquid Eyeshadows so the trend is afoot!

I was delighted MAC introduced their new range of Dazzleshadow Liquid too now! These are available in 10 shades with a cooling formula that contains glitter for a subtle sparkle or can be built up for a cool chromatic effect. Like most liquid eyeshadows you can use them alone or over your favorite powder eyeshadow.

Some of the shades are brilliant like Panthertized which is a gorgeous deep, dark purple or Every Day Is Sunshine a light sparkly peach!

I dunno about you but I’m so ready for more sparkly liquid eyeshadows in my life!
