I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Gather round now and let’s gawk at the wonder of the delicious Chanel No. 1 Affresco Les 9 Ombres Multi-Effects Eyeshadow Palette don’t mind that thump thump you’re hearing that’s just heart pounding away in excitement.

This limited edition palette was created Lucia Pica and is inspired by the frescoes of Pompeii. There are nine gorgeous shades in the palette with splashes of aqua combined with neutral tones in satin and matte finishes.

I’m pretty sure this is the largest eyeshadow palette I’ve ever seen Chanel do and it is delightful! It looks like a gorgeous Spring palette.

Needless to say I think I need it.

Chanel No. 1 Affresco Les 9 Ombres Multi-Effects Eyeshadow Palette is available now at nordstrom.com for a limited time.

Burt’s Bees Conditioning Lip Scrub Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Burt’s Bees Conditioning Lip Scrub is a new exfoliating lip scrub that contains honey crystals to smooth and soften dry, tired lips. They also released a Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Overnight Intensive Lip Treatment along with this lip scrub if you like to treat lips after scrubbing!

I’ve come to the conclusion that the pots of lip scrub I have laying around rivals that of the amount of lip balms I have. That means I have quite a few. I find them very convenient to have in my makeup bag and they are very much apart of my nightly routine. I know that bit about the makeup bag probably made you cringe since many scrubs are in a pot and using them on the go isn’t exactly hygienic. But I have drier lips so I tend to pack one with me and use them before reapplying lipstick or gloss. It is doable if you’re a germ-a-phobe like me. Simply pack up a tiny spatula (I buy them in bulk from E-bay) and a clean Q-tip with your lip scrub. Use the spatula to scoop a little of the scrub out, apply it on the Q-Tip, and use the Q-Tip to gently work the scrub into your lips and tissue off when you’re done. Your hands aren’t touching anything and you’re good to scrub on the go 🙂

One of my latest loves was the Chapstick Total Hydration Conditioning Lip Scrub which is a nice grainy scrub for super dry, flaky lips. Burt’s Bees Conditioning Lip Scrub is far more gentle in comparison but just as effective.

NYX Strictly Vinyl Lipgloss Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

NYX Strictly Vinyl Lip Gloss ($7.99) is yet another new lipgloss from NYX that launched for Spring 2018. I recently reviewed NYX Super Cliquey Matte Lipstick and I did rant a little about the fact that the brand releases too many lipsticks and lipglosses that are virtually the same formula but just with a new name. I swear they must have at least five liquid lipsticks which are all matte in finish with a creamy texture that just have different names and shades but in reality are exactly the same damn thing.

Thankfully enough NYX Strictly Vinyl Lip Gloss is not quite like anything I’ve tried before from them aside for perhaps Butter Gloss but this has a much thicker consistency. So, I’m pretty happy it’s not a rerun of a formula NYX already has available. I’m also happy it’s a full color gloss and not a long-wearing liquid matte lipstick because 1. NYX has TOO many of those already! and 2. I’m all about getting back to glossy lips please and thank you!

Becca Anti-Fatigue Under Eye Primer Not Doing Much for These Puffy Eyes

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

I recently purchased Becca Anti-Fatigue Under Eye Primer not only because I wanted to review it but also, because it was a product I was highly interested in trying out for myself since I fit right into the target audience for this type of product.

It’s actually an eye balm which promises to have a cooling effect once applied that smooths and blurs finer lines while reducing puffiness. I am a strong believer that in order to conceal my puffy eyes I need a solid, pigmented concealer. And for finer lines? Moisture is the key element for making them less visible in my opinion. There’s nothing like dryness to make finer lines look more prominent.

At a glance, with its bright blue tint I expected this to be something along the lines of Thierry Mugler Cooling Effect Concealer but after reading the ingredients I realized there were going for a more Mally Beauty Poreless Face Defender style of product. Speaking of which Mally Beauty Perfect Prep Eye Primer or Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch would actually do a much better job of prepping your eyes compared to Becca Anti-Fatigue Under Eye Primer did for me.

So, buckle up kids, save your money, and jump ahead for my thoughts and review on this product.
