DuWop Discounting All the Mermaids

Several years ago in a galaxy not too far away DuWop released a Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. Yup, Lorac wasn’t the first! The collection included Caribbean Iced Teas Lip Balm, a Rotating Map Mermaids Eyeshadow Palette, and Sea Shell Compact Cheek and Eye Duos.

Needless to say it was during the On Stranger Tides release which made this a mermaid inspired launch. Of course, at the time mermaids weren’t a thing quite yet in the makeup world so, everyone was pretty excited at the prospect of a mermaid inspired makeup launch.

Anyway, enough history on the collection what I really want to know is what exactly happened to Philip Swift?

And in other news you can snag DuWop’s Pirate Collection at 50% Off at duwop.com.

Enjoy!

Pinch Provisions for Mermaids

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I’m that girl that carries everything in her purse but never has a tissue when she needs one. I don’t know how I do it but when it comes to having the essentials in my purse I never do. 10 lipglosses? No problem! I have that! A wipe wipe? A tissue? Nope, neither! I’ve been wanting to get one of those Pinch Provisions Sets for this exact reason. What is it? It’s basically a little makeup case that holds a bunch of brilliant essentials like band aids, tissues, facial wipes, etc…it takes the guess work out of packing the essentials for yourself.

Now what’s even better, is this set which comes housed in an adorable “secretly a mermaid” makeup bag! Yes, please! I want to be a mermaid when I grow up.

Lemon Aid is Gone But Tarte Lid Lock Clay Eye Base Is Here!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Benefit Lemon Aid has been discontinued and I have hopes Tarte Lid Lock Clay Eye Base ($21) will save the day (don’t worry, HSN has a few pots of Lemon Aid still in stock if you want to stock up before it disappears forever).

With Lemon Aid gone the hunt is on to discover a new way to brighten up my eye area and neutralize redness/darkness on my lid. Someone recommended me Ben Nye’s Creme Highlight which I’m waiting patiently to ship and I also ordered up the Tarte Lid Lock Clay Eye Base yesterday in the hopes it would prove brilliant.

Against My Better Judgement I Purchased the Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Armed with a ten dollar coupon code I ended up purchasing the Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette ($46) against my better judgement late last night. If I’m honest with myself I know I don’t really need this palette. Tarte packs this one with 12 Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palettes, three of which apparently have a universal formula that act as nose, brow, and contour powders. As you know, I’m not much of a contouring wizard so, it seems pointless for me to even go there with this palette. But of course, I’m always suckered into hoping that this palette will turn into holy grail status.

Plus, hey I can use some flattering natural matte shades or at least that’s what I told myself.
