The extremely popular Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit ($32) is back for Summer 2017! This is one of the best ways to try a range of different sunscreen products as well as other goodies that contain SPF. I always find that SPF is truly a personal experience. Textures, formulas, etc..there’s so much that factors into picking the perfect sunscreen for your skin type. Or at least I think so. It took me a while to find a few favorites and mostly, I rely heavily on Japanese sunscreens because the formula is much more easier to use thanks to the quick to absorb formulas. In many ways, the US hasn’t quite caught up to Asian sunscreen options in my opinion.
Which is why it’s always great when the Sephora Favorite Sun Safety Kit comes around. It gives me an open door to try some new sunscreens on the market and see how they measure up to my favorites. The best part is I’m not spending a ton of money to try all these formulas.

CosRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence ($16 to $21) is one of several CosRX skincare products that are starting to arrive at Ulta as they continue to grow their selection of K-Beauty. CosRX may be a familiar name to you as it is one on the lips of Korean skincare lovers. If nothing else CosRX can be blamed for much of the moisture that dry, dehydrated skin needs and when used in conjunction with other skincare it can help to add much needed hydration as well as aids to retain that moisture.
Unlike many snail secretion skincare, CoxRX can lay claim to the fact that their essence contains nearly 100% snail mucus. If the idea freaks you out, don’t let it, because honestly snail secretion can be very good for many skin types.
Let’s take a look!

I picked up a packet of the new Ulta Smoothing Apricot Pre-Mask Prepping Face Scrub ($3) recently and I couldn’t help but think how great it would be if Ulta introduced this in a full-size tube. I’d so buy it if they did!
Ulta Smoothing Apricot Pre-Mask Prepping Face Scrub sort of dabbles its toes in the Origins Maskimizer Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer idea but they take it in a different direction with a pre-scrub that can used to exfoliate your skin before applying a mask. Apparently this allows for better absorption of your mask.
Psstt…!
Let me let you in on a little secret of mine. I’ve been doing this for years!!!!!!!!!!
I find physical exfoliation can be very stripping. Ironically I have dry, flaky skin that just gets worst after I exfoliate it. I’m left feeling quite tight and dry after I scrub. My solution? I follow up with a moisturizing facial mask!
But hey, this didn’t stop me from being oddly curious about Ulta Smoothing Apricot Pre-Mask Prepping Face Scrub.

Late last week, I was chatting up the new Commodity Storybook Fragrance Gift Set which I happened to purchase as soon as it launched at Sephora! Later that night I found myself hauling out the Nest Eau de Parfum Collection Coffret ($38) because I think it’s such a delightful way to try out Nest.
I should really start this post by saying the first time I tried Nest I found the fragrances rather sweet. Don’t get me wrong, I love a sweet floral scent but sometimes it can be overkill. Somehow, someway, Nest captured more and more of my attention after I kept misting myself with a new one each time I walked into Sephora. Until one day, I found that I absolutely loved the brand (especially their new Black Tulip fragrance!).
A few months ago I purchased the Nest Eau de Parfum Collection Coffret not because I needed it. Because at this point I have already purchased and own all the Nest fragrances but because I wanted a easy travel version of my favorite scents. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the set. Would the roll-ons be as strong as the mists? Would they have lasting power? Was it even worth picking this set up?
