Today I contemplated purchasing the new YSL Mon Paris Eyeshadow Palette just because I loved the packaging. Are you gulty of buying makeup because of the pretty packaging?
I am.
At one time I wouldn’t think twice about purchasing something because it had pretty packaging but now I think it is a serious beauty crime.
Haven’t tried it myself but Dr. Lip Bang’s Lip Freak Buzzing Lip Balm caught my eye while browsing today’s Ulta sale. You know when you’re looking for that something, something cheap to add to your cart just because. That’s me with this.
Dr. Lip Bang’s Lip Freak Buzzing Lip Balm has one of the intriguing descriptions I’ve ever read on a lip balm before! Apparently, after application your lips with begin to buzz and vibrate. Yeah, I raised my eye a little bit there. A vibrating buzz? Sounds like a nightmare for sensitive folks but sounds awesome to me. They even suggest kissing someone after application as the experience will be transferred to the other person lips! Hmmm! Remember Pop Rocks Candy? As a child that stuff was like crack! It literally made your mouth into a sugary, crackly explosion. Mix it with a little soda and it was like 4th of July!
For some reason, the description of this balm reminded me of that candy. It’s available in a bubble gum, berry, and mint flavor selection.
Has anyone tried this “buzzing” lip balm yet? Because I know I’m terribly curious about the formula!

I think the YSL Mon Paris Eyeshadow Palette is absolutely adorable (and limited edition)! Yves Saint Laurent introduced this darling little palette inspired by the new Mon Paris Fragrance with wrapped up a pretty pink compact with a black bow that matches the perfume’s packaging.
This selection of soft lavender and subtle pink shades combined with touches of grey and black will create a romantic look on eyes. The palette is inspired by Paris, the city of love, and these soft, feminine shades evoke the passion of the beloved city.
I’m just love with the packaging!
The darling bow bedecked compact is perfectly beautiful vanity worthy makeup. The shades inside? Not exactly my cup of tea. Is it ok to buy makeup for the packaging alone?
Probably not but I can’t help but want this one.

The stunning Chanel Lily-Rose Deep No 5 L’Eau promo images popped into my inbox today. I reviewed the Chanel No 5 L’Eau fragrance earlier this month and absolutely fell in love with it. I find Chanel No 5 a little to overpowering and L’Eau is a much more wearable experience with a lighter bouquet of floral notes. The scent isn’t the only appealing aspect, the ad campaign is visually beautiful as well.
Although Lily-Rose’s appearance is likely meant to be most appealing to millennials, it only serves to make the fragrance more tempting to me. She looks as beautiful and exotic as her mother did in past Chanel campaigns.
L’Eau is a fragrance well worth trying as Chanel did a incredible job re-imagining the classic, steeped in history Chanel No 5 Fragrance!
