Mandom Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion Review

Feeling lazy?

Here’s your solution:

Meet Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion.

I’ve never heard of it before, I’ve never seen it before, and probably would have never gotten a chance to even try it if my beautiful mate Aya didn’t mention it to me. During one of our e-mails she said that she noticed I was looking for a good mascara remover and proceeded to recommend this stuff!

Well, Aya’s rave is spot on!

It’s freaking good stuff!

This removes virtually everything from your face without drying it. It does a particularly killer job removing waterproof mascara and eye makeup. The formula is very strange as it’s not oily but just like pure water! I simply took a large cotton square, pumped a few squirts on and went to work on my eyes. After I took another cotton square and did my face. Aya had suggested rinsing afterward although you don’t have to as per the instructions I took her advice and had a quick rinse. Presto done! Just as the bottle advertises, “Ready for bed as soon as possible!”

I was so excited about Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion I had to go on my merry googling way and find out more about it!

I came across the mandom Beauty website at first visit and later I came across Lady L’s youTube video of this!

How I missed this video is beyond me as I closely follow Lady L’s going ons. Call me a stalker but she fascinates me and I adore her blog!

Hopefully she doesn’t mind too much that I’m totally snatching her youTube video and showing it here! Check it, Lady L working her magic with Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion:

As you can see it removes virtually all traces of eye makeup! It works all over the face so it multitasks as both an eye makeup remover and face cleanser plus did I mention it’s cheap as chips?

I paid retail at around 800 yen I believe. Can’t beat the price as the bottle is huge but I imagine it’ll go fast as you do need a few squirts for both eyes and face but hey it’s cheap..just buy more!

I can see this easily become a cult favorite for me right up there with Kose Airy Whip which means I’m seeing my future and it consists of me buying cases of Cleansing Express Moist!

Although you can’t purchase it for retail if you’re not in Japan you can get it from Weichi for $13.99 USD which is still a steal in my opinion! Click!

Did I mention the cleanser is water based and contains no alcohol? Gotta love it! Keeps getting better and better doesn’t it?

Do I love it?

But of course!

Am I stashing it? Yes….the Muse needs cases of this stuff!

Muse Approval for this one! I love it! I believe I found my holy grail eye makeup remover!

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Review

For today’s concealer post I’ll be spotlighting Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer!

Although I had a little trouble with Bobbi Brown’s Concealer Palette I must say that I had no such woes with Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer. I have this in the lightest shade which is Porcelain. The color sports both beige, pink, and yellow tones which are extremely flattering to my medium-fair skin and do a superior job of covering up dark circles, fine lines, and extra baggage.

The formula is extremely emollient and moisturizing so much so that you may find it a bit too thick for your liking however using a concealer brush for application helps a whole lot. I really loved how wonderfully moisturizing the formula was and I think it’s completely suitable and an absolute god sent for anyone that’s 30 or over. The formula sports some key benefits such as being extremely creamy, thick, and pigmented. The thickness of the product accounts for it’s moisturizing benefits and although at first it may be a tad bit difficult to blend once heated you should have no problem with application.

The concealer is very long wearing and waterproof. I had no problem with creasing or caking and the product just looked simply flawless on and successfully made my eyes look younger and refreshed. This comes in 12 shades so you’re sure to find a match for your tone.

At $22 USD the price tag isn’t too bad either in my opinion for the quality of the product and the very long wear you can get out of it however you might worry about the size. The compact is tiny however since you only need a very tiny bit to cover up your problem areas you can easily get a year out of a single compact or more.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer has successfully created a good, solid concealer that delivers!

The Muse likes this one.

Alot.

Muse Approval for purchase on this one!

Majolica Majorca Lash Gorgeous Wing Mascara Review

As part of it’s Fall Collection Majolica Majorca released a new mascara entitled Lash Gorgeous Wing Mascara.

The Muse is not impressed.

I’m normally not one for fiber mascaras but I couldn’t resist purchasing one of these since I’m a big lover of Majolica Majorca mascara however this is a big disappointment for me and of course the main reason is the fact it’s a fiber mascara.

Although to look at it you’d never know it was fiber based as the wand doesn’t have a ton of fibers sticking from it once it’s removed from the tube however once applied I instantly get that lash in the eye feeling that’s both irritating physically and emotionally. Damn right I said emotionally! I got emotional when I have to go through a work day feeling like I have lashes stuck in my eye and unable to do a damn thing about it! Ahhhhhh! The irritation is too much to take!

Lash Gorgeous Wing is not the first fiber mascara released from Majorca Majolica but it is the first mascara that has a brush applicator as all previous versions sport the Muse beloved comb applicator which take lashes to crazy long lengths!

The mascara does exactly what it promises in providing you with feathery light lashes that keep the curl all day long however if you’re not a big lover of fibers you might want to avoid this. I, for one, picture this making a guest starring appearance in the bottom of the makeup draw graveyard.

I like my lashes to look fat and long. Although Lash Gorgeous Wing did give me ok lenght I wasn’t loving the fact that it separated my lashes and made them look alot less full and more natural. The Muse does not like the natural look. I also felt like the mascara didn’t have the exact same inky black formula Majolica Majorca mascara is known for, it seemed much lighter.

The brush wasn’t exactly working to my satisfaction either since it didn’t give me the volume I’ve come to expect from Majorca Majolica due to the awesome comb applicator previous versions had. I’ve always loved how fat and full the regular version of Majolica Majorca made my lashes this however fails on that account terribly.

I’m glad I paid retail at 1,290 yen because I’d seriously be upset if I had paid more. This, I sadly have to say, isn’t exactly what I wanted from Majolica Majorca. I’ve come to expect better from there mascara and this is definately no where near the best.

The Muse gives it a thumb down! Definitely not loving it! Perhaps I’ll have better luck with the new palettes! Stay tuned for my review!

Anyone try it?

Physicians Formula Circle RX Concealer Review

A new day and a new concealer lovies!

Time to continue on with my quest for the perfect concealer.

Here’s a cheap one for you that works pretty good. Excited? Don’t be too hyped! It has it’s flaws sadly.

Physicians Formula Circle RX Concealer covers virtually everything and anything and stays on all day. It’s one of the concealers I grab for when I need SERIOUS coverage. If you’re sporting major baggage, deep, dark circles, and just generally bad problems with your under eye area here in lays your solutions.

This stuff sincerely covers anything and everything. It’s extremely pigmented and blends easily into the skin creating a very matte, fresh look to your under eye woes. It’s a yellow based concealer which we all know helps combat dark circles but this does double duty at fighting off severe dark circles and any other drama you have going on under your eyes. Although the color appears to be very yellow it does blend in well and creates good coverage that lasts at least 10 hours or more. The formula is moisturizing enough but I did find it quite drying under my eyes however if you have younger skin this might not be a problem for you. The formula is extremely dense as well and lacks the watery texture that most liquid concealers sport. It’s like a thick cream almost which accounts for ease of application.

Overall, it’s a rather great concealer that does have a few flaws.

The packaging design is both good and bad. One good thing is the very nifty slanted applicator that makes applying easy. Swipe under your eye, blend, and go. Nice. However, the lid is so difficult to get off that you’ll end up removing both the lid and applicator if you tug too hard. Major flaw in my opinion and rather annoying as well.

Secondly, the formula is drying to my eye. If you have dry skin you might want to use this only when you need the 12 hour sleep effect look otherwise avoid it as a daily concealer.

Lastly, it does contain a cocktail of parabens that may turn you off to purchasing this.

Aside from this rants I do think the concealer is a good deal at around $7-9 USD. It does a superior job of covering EVERYTHING and anything plus it has sincerely fantastic wear time.

Is it worth picking up?

Yes, for the price it’s worth having on hand for the days you get an hour or two of sleep and need to look awake and fresh!

Tried it?

Like it?

Not really?

Tell the Muse!

Tomorrow……Bobbi Brown Concealer……Worth the cash? We’ll see!
