Macy’s is having their annual Friends and Family Sale and beauty is included with 15% off your purchase with code FRIEND. However, Nordstrom, one of my favorite department stores, is price matching! Which means anything that’s on sale at Macy’s is also on sale at Nordstrom! This is great as I can shop nordstrom.com and get free shipping on any order, no threshold (Macy’s raised their shipping where as before it was free shipping on makeup and beauty boooo!) plus I get free returns back AND I can earn some Nordie’s bucks!

Covergirl Ascension Eyeshadow Palette ($14.98) is one of four new larger eyeshadow palettes that launched on April 8th with the Covergirl Her Majesty Collection just around the time Game of Thrones was ready for their series finale run. I know after reviewing both the Covergirl Revolution Eyeshadow Palette and Reign Eyeshadow Palette from this collection we all got Game of Thrones vibes from this collection. These also happened to launch around the same time Urban Decay’s Game of Thrones Collection launched and offered a cheaper alternative to UD’s offerings.

I can’t say I didn’t love that feeling because I’m a total geek and I love seeing my geeky world collided with my makeup one.

So far, the Reign Eyeshadow Palette, also part of the Her Majesty Collection, gave me Lannister vibes. And the Reign Eyeshadow Palette gave me dragon fever with its assortment of fiery oranges, reds, and coppers.

I’d say the Ascension Eyeshadow Palette is a nod to our Queen of the North in Winterfell, Sansa with it’s pure white cover.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Les Macarons Liquid Lipstick is a new macaroon scented long-wearing liquid lipstick that launched in six shades for Summer 2019. These are pretty much a follow up to the L�Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Les Chocolats Scented Liquid Lipstick that launched last year. I found that shade range really difficult to wear but I think that the Les Macarons shades might prove a lot better! I only purchased one shade which was Mon Caramel which is a really lovely dusky nude pink! This shade convinced me I might need to try a few more in this collection.

Dominique Cosmetics Rustic Glam Eyeshadow Palette is an aquatic palette, is it a warm palette, what exactly is it? I’m getting these weird aquatic vibes from the latest Dominique Cosmetics eyeshadow palette for Summer 2019 but they are throwing a few curve balls too. This one contains some gorgeous ocean blues but wait, how about a burnt orange and a metallic purple! It’s a weird one for me.

According to the brand it’s a day-to-night color palette that you can get neutral looks from in the day and smoked-out ones in the evening.

Oh my god people! We are all over the place here. I’m not seeing the neutral look, I’m not seeing the smoked-out one, and I’m having a hard time figuring out how the blue goes with the orange. It’s all so confusing. This is proof I can pair shades to save my life as I’m struggling with this. It’s so pretty but not sure I’d be able to handle all these shades and incorporate them into a look!

Sephora seems to have targeted e-mails going out lately. I’ve heard rumors about these but I never personally got a target e-mail from Sephora until this month! It’s been a very eventful month because less than two weeks ago Sephora sent me a 20% Off Anniversary coupon code which surprised me and I was all hell yeah!

But even better less than a week later I got ANOTHER 20% Off e-mail coupon code. Both codes can be used either online or in stores and are only good for a really short time. Like the one they sent me this week is only good until June 11th. Sucks it has to be used in such a short time but I do appreciate the gesture.

One of my readers mentioned she got 15% off. So, do check your email maybe you’ll see one floating around in there. I’ve gotten a few targeted offers from Ulta in the past as they track what I buy and offer me a coupon for that particular item within weeks or a month of me buying it. For example, I’ve gotten $15 off $50 in Bare Minerals and other such offers. I guess Sephora is also using these types offers too now. It’s a nice perk but I’d like to see the offer expire in say two to three weeks versus a week.

None the less, it’s nice to see it. However, it’s also worrying as it could mean people are spending as much as they used to at Sephora! Hmmmmm!
