Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette ($14.98) is one of four new Covergirl My Majesty Collection that launched at Walmart earlier this month. The eyeshadow palettes have a certain Game of Thrones feel and look! Especially the Overthrown Eyeshadow Palette that looks like it has an Iron Throne on the cover. It seems like everyone is getting Game of Thrones fever and I’m cool with that!

Each palette contains 12 eyeshadows each in a variety of beautiful colors making them the biggest palettes I’ve seen released from Covergirl to date.

Let’s take a look at my review of the Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette below!

If you’re a fond fan of the Covergirl TruNaked Eyeshadow Palettes or the more recent Peach Punch and Chocoholic Eyeshadow Palette from Peaches and Chocolate Collection you should get on very well with the Reign Eyeshadow Palette! These have a soft slurry texture with a hybrid texture that has a creamy satiny feel. It’s a beautifully textured eyeshadow and very much like my beloved Japanese eyeshadows from brands like KATE.

Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette Swatches (Dignified, Money Maker, Crowned, Next of Kin)

Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette (Power Trip, Monarch Magic, High Life, Spellbound)

Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette Swatches (Forever Yours, Prerogative, Lavish, Good for You)

The Reign Eyeshadow Palette comes housed in a gold cardboard compact with a generously sized mirror located inside. The regal floral design decorating the front is very elegant! Inside you’ll find 12 eyeshadows in a range of jewel nude tones. Each of the shadows has a name printed below it. The wells are mismatched in size and the total size of the palette is 0.22 oz. I assume each of the shades are the same size despite the smaller and bigger wells. It seems like the reason they did this was to give you an idea of how to pair shares up using three shades. The smaller wells seem to be the liner and the two larger are contrasting shades for your lid and crease. Which means you can get four looks using their layout. Or mix and match as you want for endless looks. I used Money Maker a yellow gold and High Life a dark blue on my lid and crease so, I didn’t exactly follow their layout for my look.

I thought the formula was excellent on all the shades. Soft, lightly creamy, easy to apply and blend, very little fall out, and a nicely pigmented! All in all, a very beautiful palette.

Covergirl did a fantastic job on this palette and it’s well worth picking up in my humble opinion! For those interested it’s made in Canada.

The Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette and all the other My Majesty Eyeshadow Palettes are available now at walmart.com!

Where to buy

Walmart

Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette is new, limited edition 12-pan palettes that’s $14.98 and 0.22 oz in size. The formula is much like the TruNaked Eyeshadow Palettes that Covergirl has in their standard collection. The shadows have a soft, creamy texture with excellent pigment! The application was very easy for me and the shades blended out beautifully. The palette is Made in Canada.

Pros

  • Pigmented.
  • Beautiful application and blending.
  • Affordable!
  • Beautiful assortment of shades!
  • Beautiful packaging!

Cons

  • Wells aren’t all the same size might which makes it a pain the reach some of the smaller ones with a brush!

Who

Covergirl’s Reign Eyeshadow Palette should be a great pick for those that like affordable and beautifully formulated eyeshadows!

My FOMO kicked in. I used your link any my stores said not available for shipping and either low stock or only 2 left so I drove to Walmart and picked up Revolution and Overthrown. I got the last one of each on the shelf. I really need to stop with all of these palettes or learn to create more looks. I tend to use one color as a base for everything and dabble in one or two colors and the rest go untouched. I see bright colors and can’t help myself!

    • Isabella Muse

LOL aw 🙂 I’m glad you got them! I was not going to buy them but saw them in store and got all four! I brought home and was like oh god what have I done! Ended up loving them! ;D

I’m not a super encyclopedia of eyeshadow shades, but “Reign” is really unique! I don’t think I’ve ever come across a shadow that looks like that. Way to go Covergirl!

  • Kish

Oh wow, I love the look you did! I saw all four of these in person and I just felt that none of the shades looked like they went together well. I may have to rethink that!
