Almay Smart Shade Mousse Makeup Review & Swatches

Almay Smart Shade Mousse Makeup Spring 2012

Almay Smart Shade Mousse Foundation ($9.99) recently launched for Spring 2013 at drugstores in four color selections (I found mine at Harmons).

This is color adapting foundation product that supposedly “changes” once applied to your perfect shade of color thus the lack of colors. Light, Light/Medium, Medium, and Dark are the soup du jour for this foundation.

KATE Powderless Liquid for Cover Foundation Review & Swatches

KATE Powderless Liquid for Cover Foundation

KATE Powderless Liquid for Cover Foundation, odd name I know, something got lost in translation here, is a newly launched semi-matte finish foundation product from the Japanese brand that’s a liquid formula that’s supposed to turn into that of a powder within 15 seconds of application.

I typically don’t like cream to powder products but I was interested to try this after seeing swatches online as the formula looks quite nice.

Here are some of my thoughts!

Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup Review & Swatches

Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup Foundation

Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup is a newly launched hydrating liquid foundation that creates a flawless, bare skin finish.

I’m seeing SO many different foundations lately that embrace second skin technology however, many of them prove a little to runny for me and I’m not liking the “glow” effect that comes along with them.

However, I was quite curious to check out Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup and quite happy I did as it’s a keeper.

Givenchy Eclat Matissime Fluid Foundation Airy-Light Mat Radiance Review, Swatches, Photos

Givenchy Eclat Matissime Fluid Foundation Airy Light Mat Radiance 1

Givenchy Eclat Matissime ($51) is a matte liquid foundation product that the brand launched for Fall 2012. Odd choice as I commonly associate matte foundation launches with Summer. I’m sorry I sometimes forget to acknowledge you lucky folks out there with oily skin year round. Yes, lucky…! Oily skin types actually age slower than those with drier skin so be thankful icon smile

This fluid foundation can be liken to some of my personal favorites in terms of formula such as Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation, Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup, and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua.

Although I have dry skin I was still curious to try this out and I’m very happy I did indulge because it’s quite wonderful.

YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation Review & Swatches

YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation

The new YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation ($55) is a terribly over indulgent little purchase on my part. I really had to check this one out for myself so I indulged in two shades.

YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation is inspired by YSL’s cult favorite Touch Eclat Pen. With added sun protection (SPF 19) this is a weightless foundation that targets shadowy areas on your face and adds light. The foundation enhances your own natural skin tone leaving behind a weightless finish.

Here are a few thoughts.

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfect Makeup Review & Swatches

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfect Makeup 1

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfect Makeup is one of many new foundations that embrace a second skin formula that adheres to skin for lightweight coverage that feels like it’s part of your skin.

Although I don’t have a terrible issue with larger pores I decided to test this out. The shade is very off (golden 24) but I decided to test it out anyway because I really liked the texture of the formula.

Here’s some thoughts!

Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer Review & Swatches

Stila Stay All Day Foundation

Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer is a newly launched long wearing base from the brand for Fall 2012. This somehow replaces, I guess, their One Step Makeup Foundation which I loved and they proceeded to axe from the master line.

I don’t think I like Stay All Day Foundation as much as I did One Step but it does prove convenient for travel if you’re looking for your concealer and foundation to be housed under the same roof so to speak.

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation Review & Swatches

Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation 1

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation ($34) is a new highly pigmented, full coverage foundation that promises super long wear.

It’s ironic Kat created something that’s meant to conceal tattoos since she is so proud of her own body art. But facts is facts at some point in life those who do have a tattoo might need to conceal it and in that case this provides a crazy good deal of coverage you’ll need to do just that.
