Why Does Sephora Diamondbuff Look Like a Nail File for Your Face?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Meet the Sephora Diamondbuff by Bee Stunning that sort of looks like a nail file for your face. I’m sorry, that’s immediately where my mind went with this. After looking at it a little closer, well, I still think it looks like some sort of foot or nail file.

It’s actually a microdermabrasion tool created with real diamonds apparently and the price proves it at $60 bucks for this little tool. It’s actually a little scary looking to me but you can apparently use this to gently exfoliate your skin and it’ll improve the texture making it appear brighter and smoother.

In all seriousness, I’ve had a tool like this used during a facial and they aren’t as harsh as you would think. However, I’m not sure I’d know how to wield one for myself. Knowing me I’d take off a layer of my skin or poke an eye out while attempting to exfoliate. True story, these are the days of my lives. I’m that klutzy.

Of course, everyone on Sephora is hailing this as the moon and stars of the skincare world but I’m grown very wary of the reviews that appear on their site (and on Amazon) lately. It seems like everyone was given a sample for review or they got it from Influenster “which is a source of honest product reviews”.

I think sticking to my physical exfoliation might be best. Because you know, visions of Mason Verger are jumping through my head.

What do you think of the Sephora Diamondbuff?

Sephora Diamondbuff is available now at Sephora.com.

Covergirl Lid Lock Up or Wet n Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

I picked up Covergirl Lid Lock Up Eyeshadow Primer to review realizing something about Covergirl’s new packaging (Yes, black and white packaging is here to stay and there) that it reminds me of Wet n Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer. I mean if Wet n Wild wasn’t in a tube they’d be identical! Eh! I realized that a lot of the “new” Covergirl packaging looks a lot like Wet n Wild’s core collection. If you’re going to redesign you might want to make sure your new packaging is a little more unique. Not to mention a little more pretty, fun, cute!? The black and white just isn’t doing it for me.

Anyway, the reason I mentioned this is because I had Lid Lock Up in my hand and I had to think for a second, “Don’t I have this already at home!? Are they re-promting it as something new?!” I realized quickly the reason it seemed so familiar was because it looked like Wet n Wild.

But I digress let’s get to the review portion of this post.

The Body Shop Lip Juicers Chia Seed-Free

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Body Shop Lip Juicers joins the realms of dozens of other EOS Lip Balm Sphere copy cats this Spring with three moisturizing spheres or shall we say triangles that are available in five shade selections.

I see you in the corner over there rubbing your hands in glee at the prospect of adding yet another lip balm to your collection. Oh, wait that’s probably me. No but seriously, I have to question my sanity sometimes because do I really need another lip balm in my beauty life? Well, yes, of course I do duh! Especially when they are as cute as these!

These little balms are inspired by fruit smoothies, are 100% vegan, and formulated with shea butter, marula and organic olive oil to give lips a smooth, hydrated finish. Sadly, they I don’t think they are tinted.

Flavors include:

  • Kiwi, Kale & Watermelon
  • Raspberry, Beetroot & Ginger
  • Strawberry, Pomegranate & Aloe
  • Acai, Blueberry & Dragon Fruit
  • Coconut, Passion Fruit & Carrot

I literally had a kiwi, kale, and watermelon smoothie these morning with a big helping of chia seeds. Please how do I get them to grind down? As they are always terribly crunchy no matter how long I soak them! YAK! What am I doing wrong!? These are the dramas of my life.

Anyway, The Body Shop Lip Juicers are at least chia seed-free! It’s the little things in life that make me happy.

You probably don’t need more lip balm in your life but if you’re anything like me you’re ignoring that little angel on your shoulder telling you not to buy these.

The Body Shop Lip Juicers are available now in stores and online at thebodyshop.com.
