CosRX Two in One Poreless Power Liquid As Used by A Dry Skinned Girl

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

I decided a review of the new CosRX Two in One Poreless Power Liquid ($22) was in order since it has finally arrived in the US and is available at ulta.com. If you live under a rock you might not know that CosRX Two in One Poreless Power Liquid is pretty much taking the Korean Skincare world by storm at the moment with its promise of creating clear, smooth, glass-like skin.

I am so not the demographic for this product nor many of CosRX’s skincare products. Their line focuses on oily, blemish prone skin or from time to time oily dehydrated skin. This isn’t to say you can’t find some amazing gems for drier skin in the CosRX Collection such as Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence.

As for Two in One Poreless Power Liquid it’s more about those with congested visible pores. This is a lightweight treatment which targets larger pores and pore congestion around the T-Zone area. It contains simple but effective ingredients to dissolve sebum and dead skin cells that become trapped in pores and also acts to tighten pores which results in smoother, clearer skin.

I do not have larger pores nor do I have clogged pores and I’m not prone to blemishes but of course, I had to try this for myself and see what sort of effects it would have on my drier skin because they had me at glass-like skin. This is a low calorie BHA in my opinion. So, perhaps if you have more sensitive skin or you’ve never tried a BHA before this could be a potentially nice option for your skin to get used to BHAs or to use a more gentle formula.

Milani Rose Blush Trio Palette Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Milani Rose Blush Trio ($13) is a new blush palette that contains three shades of Milani’s popular Rose Powder Blush which launched for Spring 2018 in two shade selections. I noticed on Instagram quite a few people posted displays featuring the new Milani Rose Blush Trio Palettes as well as the new facial oils the brands launched at Walgreens but I sadly, failed to find any of these items in stores and ended up ordering them online and using Milani’s 15% Off promo code to score them.

I notice Milani isn’t quick to release their products at drugstores and tend to launch on their website first prior to anywhere else. I mean I’ve seen some of their launches appear on their website and take 6 months to pop up in drugstores. I hate it but it makes sense if you think about it as they are cutting out the middleman plus adding to their own following by promoting via their website. I just hate that I can’t see it in stores prior or snagging it on sale at the drugstore during a BOGO. Oh well!

As a fan of Rose Powder Blush I was quite excited to get my hands on the Rose Blush Trio as what’s not love about a palette that contains three shades of a formula you really like? There was some concern about the fact that Milani didn’t list the names of the shades included in the palettes as you might already own the full-size versions. Sadly, after receiving the palettes I can’t confirm what the shades are as they aren’t listed by name on the back or anywhere else on the packaging. Over the years, Milani has released Rose Powder Blush in a number of shades four of which are now permanent but many shades are long since gone. I went through the shades I have in my own collection and I can say that there are one or two shades that do look similiar but the application and pigment seemed a little different which I’ll get into more below.

L’Oreal Paradise Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

L’Oreal Paradise Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette ($14.99) is a new peach scented Colour Riche Eyeshadow Palette that launched with the L’Oreal Summer 2018 Makeup Collection along with a new selection of Paradise Enchanted Blushes that are hopefully not limited edition. I’m not sure if L’Oreal has plans to add these to their permanent collection or if they are a limited release available for Summer only.

L’Oreal literally just launched this mass market and already they have two more palettes like this upcoming later this Summer and into Fall 2018 which are called Cherry My Cheri and Berry Much Love and yes, both are also scented.

I guess they already know that the Paradise Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette is bound to be a viral success and why wouldn’t it be!? They basically took the idea of Too Faced’s Sweet Peach and Peaches and Cream Collection and it made it their own. They do say imitation is the best form of flattery so I guess if you loved Too Faced’s version you’re bound to adore L’Oreal’s version especially since it is drugstore makeup which makes it much more affordable if you’re getting it on sale and using coupons. Although at full price this is far from cheap! I purchased the palette when it first launched on Amazon several weeks ago. It was actually pre-booking at the time and they shipped it to me last week at which point it also went live at Ulta which leads me to believe it should be arriving at drugstores by the end of the week or at the very least by next. On Amazon it’s $11.99 but Ulta lists it as $14.99 however, all L’Oreal is Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off which is pretty helpful saving a buck or two. Most mass drugstores will likely stick to that $15 price but spots like Target and Harmons will likely offer the more affordable $11.99 price tag.

I’m Away But the Show Will Go On

Just a heads up I’m away this week so I’m going to be a bit slower replying to comments however, the good news is I have a ton of new posts scheduled all week so you won’t miss me too much!

There are a lot of reviews that I’m sure you’ve been waiting for that are scheduled to go live this week (the time difference is about five hours but my posts are scheduled the normal New York EST time zone). I’ll try to get to comments here and there but likely the bulk will be answered when I return. I tend to cut myself off from the blog, social media, etc when I’m away 🙂

Have a great week ahead!

I’ll miss you all very much! Be back soon!
