Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is the creator of a variety of unique perfume oil blends and creates wonderful limited edition seasonal blends. The Halloweenies are a particular favorite of mine since Fall/Halloween is my favorite Holiday/Season.
I hope by now you’re enjoying your Bpal Halloweenies 2012. I placed my own order on launch and got them towards the end of September so I have plenty of time to enjoy them through the Fall and Halloween season.
Suck It isn’t a new blend by any means as it’s been released before at the Lab but this is actually my first time purchasing it for some reason.
My sister calls lilies “funeral flowers”. No wonder Lush named it’s popular Halloween Shower Gel after a ghost!
Ghost Shower Gel is Lush’s seasonal Halloween release fragranced with a burst of lily of the valley. I’d never thought I’d say I like the smell of lilies but once a year I do so haul a large bottle of Ghost and allow it to haunt my shower for several weeks. The scent is…addicting somehow.
With much disappointment I had to say Goodbye to Lush Ghost Shower Gel this year. Le sigh. Lush decided to introduce it in a Shower Jelly format. I really dislike Shower Jellies as they end up more down the drain than on my body or hair. Meh, burp, grrr, no like!
If you don’t mind spooking up your shower with a jelly you can haul Ghost Shower Jelly now, for a limited time, at www.lush.com
I can’t believe I never reviewed Lush Slammer Shower Gel on Musings! It got discontinued long before I started my website so that could be one reason.
Thankfully Lush introduced it to the Retro Collection a few years ago and I’ve had an ever ending supply of it. Phew! I love it almost as much as I love Back for Breakfast.
Always wanted to try Benefit Crescent Row fragrances but never had the chance? For Holiday 2012, Benefit has released a limited edition Crescent Row Holiday Set that includes not one, not two, not three, but FOUR mini Crescent Row Fragrances so you don’t have to choose!
The set is a great way to experience a few of the scents without having to choose just one!
Let’s rent a cozy cabin in the woods and sip on Pumpkin Spice Lattes while it snows outside and we exchange stories about our latest beauty hauls inside.
Ok, maybe when I think cabin in the woods those things don’t exactly come to mind. It’s more along the lines of I find the Naturan Demant, evil demons stalk me, and Bruce Campbell circa 1981 swoops in, saves my life, and THAN we sip on Pumpkin Spice Lattes together.
I like that version better you?
Maybe it’s not your thing though?
How about a Philosophy Toasty Cabin for the safe folks?
The enchanting Cinderella Collection by Sephora has launched online and in many stores and along with it the new So This is Love Eau de Parfume.
Sephora dubs this a mesmerizing, dazzling scent inspired by Cinderella herself. I’ve come to associate the scent of Cinderella with Lush’s Cinder Bath Bomb…spicy, cinnamon, with a hint of woodsy smoke in the background. Weird how scent works right? I can’t get that scent out of my head as what Cinderella would possibly smell like. Of course, that would be when she was still living in her evil Stepmother’s house….
What would her scent be when her fairytale came true and she lived happily ever after with her Prince?
Lush Fair Trade Honey Shampoo is the $h1t! Sorry there isn’t any other way to put it. This stuff is awesome in CAPS! Lush if you discontinue this I will have to cut you hard! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Don’t panic, it’s not yet available in the US but from my understanding it will be in November. I picked up a small bottle (like an idiot, I should have gotten a big bottle) from Lush UK recently and at first sniff it was not love but things quickly changed.
Nicole Richie has come into her own and she’s an absolute style icon as far as I’m concerned. She’s no longer Paris Hilton’s little sidekick and has turned over such a new leaf of maturity.
With her own line of couture under her belt as well as a successful jewelry collection it was only a matter of time that she joined the celebrity fragrance ranks. This Fall, Nicole Richie released her own fragrance entitled, simply, Nicole.
Housed in a gorgeous cut crystal glass bottle with a certain boho chicness that only Nicole could pull off this fragrance is a warm, creamy blend of ambers with fruit and floral notes.
Lush Ponche Shower Gel evokes images of Erik Estrada in my mind. Seriously, the first memories I have of my older cousins were of them watching CHIPs on telly.
Am I giving away my age here?
Anyone remember that show….! I know it might be hard to believe but Erik Estrada used to be kinda hot.
Anyway, for Christmas and Holiday 2012 Lush has introduced their Ponche Shower Gel on the scene with a shot of tequila and a bit of orange juicy this boozy sensation will have you wriggling in the shower.
Looks like hair has become a big focus point for Lush this Fall as they’ve introduced a range of several new products including shampoo, conditioner, and a hair mist.
It’s been a while since they revamped their haircare so it’s nice to see they are doing something brand new. I’m partial to my I Love Juicy and Big but I’m always up for something new.
Ah you might have heard me whisper the joy of Sugar Skull in your ears before. It’s one of several limited edition fragrances from the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, creator of unique fragrance oils!
Each year the Lab dishes out a slew of hand blended fragrance oils in a variety of complex scents to celebrate Halloween.
Sugar Skull has been in my rotation for many a year and I have several bottles under my belt but I continue to buy it year after year as it seems to have a slight change each year that I enjoy discovering.
As you know Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab released a Fraggle inspired collection of fragrance oils recently. Not familiar with the Fraggles? OMG! You’re missing out. YouTube them, promise you’ll love them. They just don’t make children’s entertainment like this anymore.
I was excited to say the least when I heard the Lab was teaming up with the Jim Henson Company to create not only Fraggle blends but also Labyrinth ones. I’m curious if at some point they’ll do a Muppet Collection or even a Dark Crystal one (how awesome would that be? Doctor Bunsen Honeydew would obviously smell amazingballs right?).
I recently reviewed Gobo for you and I thought that Wembley would be the perfect follow up to that review since he is Gobo’s BFF.
P.S. Congrats to my reader Michou. She wrote me today to say she got a job and today’s her first day. She was unemployed for a little bit so it was with great happiness, joy, and relief that I read her e-mail today! I hope you’ll join me in wishing her much success!
