I begrudgingly purchased the Nude L’Oreal La Palette Lip and decided I’d review it. Why begrudgingly? I hate the price. These are whooping $16.99 each! Ouch! Thankfully I headed into Harmons to grab my L’Oreal La Palette Lip and it set me back $13.49 but I still cringed slightly at that price. Drugstore makeup prices are catching up to high end ones lately.

L�Oreal La Palette Lip actually launched for Spring 2016 and held five shades of lipstick each. These new La Palette Lip Palettes hold eight shades each and are available in three shade selections versus the original two shade launch.

I purchased Drunk Elephant B Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel ($52) recently because I’m hearing so many great things about Drunk Elephant skincare. This is definitely a collection of skincare you’ll want to trying if you’re looking for simple, minimal yet effective ingredients.

One of the products from the brand I’ve heard the most raving about was the B Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel which is a water-based gel moisturizer. I love gel moisturizers in the Summer so, it was a no brainer to pick this up!

My August Sephora Play Box arrived so I thought I’d do an unboxing and review plus just generally share my thoughts on this month’s contents. I think this is my 4th Sephora Play Box now and so far, as you know, I haven’t been particularly happy with the contents.

If you aren’t in the know, Sephora Play is a new beauty box subscription service that will set you back $10 bucks (it ships free) and it includes 5 to 7 makeup, skincare, and beauty samples as well as one perfume sample. Most times the samples are actually deluxe sizes so, you do get a bit of bang for your box.

Get your wallet out and your credit card ready for the Tarte Big Blush Book 2 Palette that’s available now at tarte.com. This delicious blush palette is filled with h 8 brand new shades of Tarte Amazonian Blush and yes, they are all full size! It’ll be around for a limited time aka it’ll likely sell out in a flash! Sadly, it isn’t as cheap as the original Big Blush Book which was a mere $35 thanks to a sale that Tarte had going at the time ($50 was the original retail price) but hey, it’s still quite the deal agreed?
